an advise, never use auto white balance, because the camera get confused by the coationg of these old lenses. you will get more beautiful results if you set the right white balance your self, its like day and night results. i follow your videos, they are so great, keepm coming

Right on. You can also set your own custom white balance up very easly (white Balance; CustomSetup)

Awesome. What a great find! I have the Pentax SMC 50mm f1.4 and it is one of my favourites. Whenever I have to shoot an event, it's usually the lens that goes on my camera. I picked up the Lens Turbo for it and really like the extra versatility.

First time commenting so I gotta say, thanks for the great videos! You really helped me move to the a6000 and I've been really happy with the decision. This Pentax was my go-to 50mm until just today. It's been bumped by a 52mm 1.8 Konica Hexanon (if you find one while digging do not pass it up. Spectacular ). The Pentax is a stellar lens and a great size for the a6k.

My vintage Pentax lens from 1977 on 3 years Bali and later back in Jakarta I brought from Amsterdam for cheap in 2010/2011, this is it, unfortunately too humid climate here on the equator line Indonesia has destroyed it by lens fungus. Looking around hunting as even in Indonesia still is one of the best lenses sought after, wanted by every camera enthousiast like me, one of the best lenses were ever made even it's radio active as it's made of fully metal and real glass unlike today lenses most of them even the glasses are made of plastic.

I have this lens as well. Found it in an old camera bag that was donated to me with a Pentax camera. I have adapted it to my Sony a6000/NEX-7 with a Fotodiox PK to NEX adapter. I need to go out and shoot more with this combo. Looks good. Wish it had the round bokeh though

We have a website similar to ebay here in Bulgaria. Someone was selling it for around $40. I've read some good review and decided to buy it. Pretty happy with my decision. Love the bokeh, too. The only thing I don't like is that the adapter is as big as the lens :D Btw, love your videos. Keep it up!

Great lense!!!! . I use it all the time. Very sharp and produces excellent colours. All the old pk lenses are completely functional with all the new digital pentax kaf cameras with out need any adapter.

I really love your videos and they're inspiring especially because I also own an A6000 and I'm really interested in other lenses available. I was just interested in what makes you want to use vintage lenses? If I could I would get modern lens, it's just the price is too high for me (which I'm guessing is your reason as well?). I own the 16-50mm kit lens but was wondering if there are any old/cheap lenses out there that are better in some aspects compared to the kit lens. Any recommendations? Zoom function would also be preferable, and if prime, 35mm or below would be great as I've got this Pentax 50mm lens :) Thank you!

+Yamato Kikuchi To me there's something very satisfying about capturing my life's special moments using lenses with generation(s) of experience:) I think there are lenses better in some aspects yes, in all aspects no. if you're shooting close range action, the autofocus in the kit lens might be invaluable. If you're shooting portraits of a stationary model, a faster vintage lens might be better. So much depends on what you want and need. Appreciate the support:)

I have 3 old lenses (helios and 2 industar), just got my adapter from ebay. But no matter how i turn my focus ring, everything is blur. on al ofl the lenses. What should i do? I turned on peeking, MF but nothing.All of them not focusing at all. Help, please. Thanks.
