I am a 68 year old female who raced motocross in the early 1970's. I was so thrilled when I got my 125 Penton. Wonderful motorcross bike. I could blow the doors off the competition but it missed a shift in the last hairpin to finish line and I came in 2nd. I'd love to do it all over again.

my father(Robert) was one of the first to become a dealer, and as I grew and started to race my 100 Penton I learned that it was more of a family, getting to know John,Jack,Tom,and Jeff as well as making great friends with Carl Cranke and all of the empoyees and people associated with Penton. I can never tell them how much I appreciated all the help and friendships, Greatest time of my life. Robin Bennett

Mr. Penton is the sweetest man and to say I'm looking forward to an entire movie about his stories that he's so glad to sit down and share with you is an understatement.

When I'm asked "If there was anyone you'd like to sit and have lunch with"? It's John Penton... and I wait for the "WHO" and I get to tell one more person about him. :) Except our lunch would be a cheese sandwich, apples and back to working on something. Maybe this movie will help create more people to say "Oh yeah, I know of him". I've been a fan for a long time. This is a good man. He has lived right, determined, driven, righteous, successful, and is leaving a legacy.

i grew up in amherst ohio where their shop & dealership was. i used to ride my bicycle there just to go in and look at the brand new pentons and hondas in the store (i think they had bmw too). never got one (didn't have the money). had a hodaka, though (an allsport steen, actually, with a hodaka ace 100 engine). one time, i went to the shop, went back to the parts department where i bought a pair of penton gas tank decals. i spray painted the gas tank of the steen then applied the penton decals. that was my penton.

Had a 1972 Penton and wore it out, Excellent memories on that machine. Ran enduros all over New England with the New England Trailrider Association. Visited the ISDT in Dalton MA in 1973. That was great. Can't wait to see the movie. The Penton 125 was the bike to have.

Viewed this movie this past Saturday. Excellent movie, loved watching it, brought back many great and fond memories of some great motorcycles that I loved and wanted to own in the early 1970's. Wonderful family story, wonderful American success story. A must watch movie if you are a motocross fan and is an important piece of the American motocross story and history.

Got to watch this movie a few years ago, at the famous Jack Pine Enduro itself. Sitting out in lawn chairs with projector and screen. Sitting there watching the movie seeing pictures of that famous Jack Pine start and then turning around and looking right at it was perfect. Glad I went.

my dad rode his Penton up the loading ramp into the back of the truck and the front wheel broke out the rear window as the bike fell over onto my bike and poked a hole in his fiberglass tank. I was a little boy and laughed because it was funny.

I thought they were made in Canada. No matter. ... I was a kid growing up in Michigan back in the day and very much liked going to the dealership and wanting one but didn't have that sort of dough, so I settled for some Japanese bikes instead. A real shame they don't make 'em anymore.

All the present KTM owners should pay homage to this man without him KTM would have gone by the wayside like Greeves, Sachs, DKW, Monarch and various other brands. John Penton's machines were a cut above the generic " Sachs O Crossers " seen during the 70's. Because of Pentons USA sales and constant need for improvements KTM was driven to develop their line of engines starting with the Penton 175cc then 250 then.......
