"The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery." -- Mark Van Doren. ...hold your thoughts there mister...I am not sure if I'll ever discover anything but I know this for sure that you're worth far more than Justin Bieber to this KZbin world. If he can be discovered why can you not be. Maybe weird mad scientist keyboard sounds might get the job done - million subscribers...lool. I'm gonna spread the word and hopefully millions subscribers soon after. Thanks dude you're brilliant as always!

Is this pathway somehow related to the Calvin Cycle's phase which regenerates RuBP? It seems that it uses similar sugars and enzymes (e.g. erythrose, xylulose).

The only q I have is step 2. Under Leninger book , they show G3P changing into E4P and S7P to F6P, This would technically make it a 1 C transfer then wouldn't it? How can it be a transaldolase?
@MoofUniversity10 жыл бұрын
S W That's definitely not the case. The G3P turns into the F6P, and the S7P turns into the E4P. In fact, three carbons from the S7P are taken and attached to the G3P to make F6P, and the S7P (having lost the 3 carbons) becomes E4P. I hope that helps.

Moof, I'm so glad that I found this video series, I just fell in love with these since the first time I watched them. Thank you very much, your tutorials helped a lot. Actually, I'm not a native English speaker and I am often confused by the name of the enzymes or componds, can you give a lecture about terminology to help students like me easily understanding and memerizing the terms?
@MoofUniversity10 жыл бұрын
Guanghcao Sun You're very welcome! I'm happy they've helped you learn. I've definitely got a video planned for enzyme terminology. So, thanks for mentioning that!
