Thanks for making a video about my hometown Saigon. The Tan Son Nhat airport code name is SGN (Saigon) and actually, everyone who have their parents grew up there always call it that way as a sign of affection and respect of the place.

Going back for my 4th visit within 22 months. i fell in love with Vietnam Fly in? out from Da Nang quick and easy, befriended by a family who live halfway between Da Nang and Hue always have a great experience ( my 1st Typhoon) Hanoi was hectic stayed at in the main tourist district i recommend stay elsewhere for a better less in your face area . Da Nang is a great city it has 2 sides one side of the river is old vietnam ( hustle bustle but great feeling) . other side is the tourist stretch ( relaxing big long beach) Still love Thailand but vietnam is totally different feel about it,

In my experience Saigon is not a great place to be in December. Air pollution picks up in November and gets worse during their winter. I love Vietnam but my lungs tell me to avoid Saigon at that time of year. Fingers crossed the metro finally opens in 2024. And Hanoi can be pretty cold in winter. I have memories of fogged up streets while wearing my wind cheater during January.
@Chai_Travel11 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience:) yes! Hopefully it will open soon and hopefully a lot of people will make use of it 😁

Saigon ain’t so bad, you must be real sensitive. The real peasoupers are in Hanoi - can hardly see the other side of the street! Saigon never gets close to that, and I’m asthmatic. People dramatise online

Regarding direction of travel: If it's long trip as in like 2 months or more, I'd say that depends more on the weather. I did the opposite to the Australians for my first long trip and flew into the south because I was familiar with it, but regretted it because I forgot how wet it could get in the south at that time (around Oct I think it was). It flooded while I was there and by the time it dried up a bit, it was time to move on. Was also pretty wet in the centre and pretty cold by the time we got up to Hanoi.

There are a lot of convenient stores like 7-11. Also there are big supermarkets where you can get pretty much everything. Though imported products from Australia, Europe, America, are quite expensive, it’s got it all.

@Chai_Travel11 ай бұрын
@@keangwooichoo6138 gotcha. My experience is that most of the deserted beaches in Vietnam are full of rubbish. Luckily they maintain more and more beaches though and most of the beach areas where people go to are beautiful and kept very clean

I can’t stand this guy. Just asking around and he just wanted to the negative things even there is nothing
@Chai_Travel11 ай бұрын
I can imagine you talk about me. The idea is to give people the real picture of all the South East Asian countries. If you just ask: how was your stay? People only mentioned the good stuff, this way you get only one side of their trip. I always create a video where if you watch the whole video people have the feeling they learn something and also trigger them to come over to check it out theirselves. I love people to come over to any SEA country without them to be ripped off or having uncomfortable situations. I’m sorry I’ve offended you in anyway 🙏
@2asek11 ай бұрын
@@Chai_Travel i understand the idea of your videos. But sometimes people have no bad things to say and you still insist and repeat your question to find something even though their stay was perfect (in Vietnam). Just accept the peoples answer and don’t try to navigate their responses.
@2asek11 ай бұрын
@@Chai_Travel and how can your video help people to not get ripped off? If that would be your intention you would ask other questions but by asking bas experience you just spread (negative or for forced negative) individual experiences which leads to a negative image of a country. My problem with your video is you really insisting for negative facts even there is none. Also we can clearly see which are your favourite SE Asian countries the way you ask questions
