@@CK-sn2lg perhaps on its own, but after waking up with the windows being shattered and the roof buckling while that siren sounds once or twice (I was 10 or so at the time), my brain does a good job at filling in the urgent terror. At the time, I lived between several sirens, so the distant warbling wail was cycling chaotically, from all directions. It's quite effective at scaring one shitless. When I got my own place, one of my requirements was that it have a basement. I'm in eastern MO, I spent about 8 hours down in my basement during the tornado spam last week. Another being Jishin (I think that's how it's spelt) which is used in earthquakes among potentially other things if I recall correctly as an actual legitimate alarm sound ...and then a morse-code-wannabe sound in the event of a tsunami to tell Japanese TVs to override power and volume to on and high respectively to get your attention. The one in this video's just the Early Earthquake Warning alarm.

Canada should be 10/10. And here’s why: One time back in 2014 my homie and I were hanging out while my parents were at a concert. They bought us a whole bunch of snacks and left us to play video games all night. We went to bed very late but we’re woken up just before 2 o’clock in the morning. My parents were on the way home, because the venue where the concert was being held was pretty far away. We were woken by the Canada sound and it was on my phone about an active shooter. The shooter was only 4 blocks away. So not only were we scared to shit because we were awake at 2 o’clock, but the thing we were warned about was only 4 blocks away.
