Great video! Just curious, do you ever use the acronym METHANE? Major Incident declared? Exact location. Type of incident. Hazards. Access. Number of Casualties. Emergency services required. ☺️

Thank you very much for the video, I have some questions : - for opening the airways, should I use the head tilt chin lift even if the patient may has a c spine injury ? And if he start to breathing when I open his airways should I put him in the recovery position for maintaining airways and breathing? -if the victim is in gasping( like in cardiac arrest) should i categorize him as a black? - the last, for controlling the bleeding what should I do if I don't have enough tourniquets? Sorry if I ask you so many questions XD! but I am very interested about the topic!! greatings from Italy!!!!

A c spine injury is second to not breathing. You can try jaw thrust but if that doesn't work, go with the head tilt chin lift. They might be paralyzed but at least they'll be alive.

Ok, thanks for the answer, I m not very sure if in Italy a lay rescuer can perform a jaw thrust, I hear something like keeping the head in neutral position and look in the mouth to see if the tongue don't occlude the airways, and if you can't clear them in that way you perform very carefully a chin lift manouver but maybe in a mass casualty incident something changes

montagna, emergenza e survival Are U sure ? Because by looking in the patients mouth U would know if there’s fluid or a foreign body for example. But U can’t see if the person swallowed their tongue or not. It happens when the back of the tongue covers the airway and that’s not visible by looking in the patients mouth. I hope U got me 💪🏻

@@itsbandage o yes, I got confused with fluids XD! so for opening the airways you do the head tilt chin lift or the jaw trust if you know how to perform it, but when you open the airways and the patient start to breath should you put him in the recovery position before pass to another person?
@lilymela26745 жыл бұрын
@@alexmariani2807 if the person begins to breathe on their own, put them in recovery position and move on.
