Im a girl and i have hair on my legs and arms and people give me stares like "ewww gross have you ever heard of shaving" especially girls.i shaved my arm which after sometime it grew longer and i just gave up i didn't want to do the same thing to my legs because they would grow longer.and now i walk on the streets with my hairy legs and i don't even give a damn sometimes it depends on my mood(im a black girl so the hair is really visible)but which doesn't mean i cant be insecure all the time

When the girl was talking about how she hoped people would stop looking at her hairy arms and instead notice her tattoo I can relate, I used to wear heavy eye makeup so that people would look at my eyes rather than my acne, I'd rather people say negative comments about something that I can easily remove than the skin I live in everyday

This is such a heart warming video, but i really wish this channel did the second of research and not use an artist that copied tattoos. Just the fact this video uses a copied tattoo as a portfolio piece for the artist is really jarring, a channel with 10M should have checked that and considered an artist that does original work and not promote one that steals tattoos. That being said the tattoo's done on the people in this video are beautiful and I'm happy the clients got what they wanted.

I am an 18 year old girl and I have had suchhhh hairy arms (we‘re talking about dark brown, long asf arm hair) but I would never wish that I had no arm hair, I love it. It keeps me warm and idk I almost feel kinda cool showing it off. It makes me less „average“ I guess. I used to joke about it but I don‘t even feel the need to do that anymore to be honest. I think the comments are more people trying to be supportive than strictly telling her how to think or that she "doesn't deserve to think negatively" about her own body. Everyone here (from what I've read) has been pretty supporting of pretty much everyone on BuzzFeed (or now As/Is), and show how much they don't care about body shape and sizes. I'm insecure about parts of my body, but someone could look at me and reassure me that it's fine. I know this doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, but I'm just trying to say that they're trying to tell the people they're okay, and they shouldn't worry too much about X Y or Z. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. Little compliments to some people can mean the world. But hey, everyone has their own opinion, and a right to share it. :)

This is truly inspiring! That's badass for you guys owning your bodies like that. I want to someday get a tattoo on my left arm because I'm super self-conscious about self-harm scars there from high school, I was just in a super unhealthy place with my my mental health and stuff and coped in a really unhealthy way and that's really a chapter of my life I would like to close by getting something beautiful to cover up the darker reminders. I want to be a teacher and I got this fortunate cookie once that I loved so much because it spoke to that part of me that wants to help others it said "If you have knowledge, let others light their candles by it" and I want to get a piece of paper (the lines from the scars acting like lines in a sheet of paper and for the paper to have a half-way burned down candle stick beside it that is catching the paper

My arms are the one part of my body I compulsively shaved for years for that reason. I could stand having a bit of hair on my legs and even armpit hair if I knew my clothes would hide it. But I couldn't stand having hair on my arms, whether I wore long or short sleeves. I remember once, it was mentioned in a class I was in that some people would shave their arms and my classmates were astonished cause they thought it was "too much", but I looked at the girls' arms and they all had nice light brown or blonde hair, or darker skin, which hid the hair better. I realized they just didn't get it.

This is so lovely, affirming and inspiring! Back in November, for my 20th birthday, my parents paid for me to get a tattoo- which was extremely important to me and very similar to this video in the fact that I got mine on a body part I'm very insecure about- my arms. I've got a shitload of self harm scars all over my arms (and thighs) and my tattoo felt like a transformation for my body and soul. I'm getting a full sleeve on my other arm in June, when I pass my anniversary of an entire year self harm free. I'm excited to see what confidence that brings!
