to be fair, I can see how he thought taking one pill a day would be easy. I am still not convinced it would be as difficult as the guys said. It seems weird that that is the aspect of birth control they would focus on rather than the actual side effects. Everyone has annoying things they have to do, and plenty of people take medications every day.

@@supdude414 and thats just it isn’t it? You’re not convinced. And you wouldn’t be until you tried it. Consistently, day in, day out. At the same time every day. When life has so many challenges. When side effects can be literal brain fog and so forth. They cannot go into the side effects as they aren’t taking birth control, but yes perhaps a segment asking women how it affects them would have been good. I do think that it’s important to highlight that even at the base level of just administering the medication is difficult to maintain.

The only birth control that works for my body and my lifestyle is depo provera ("the shot") and holy sht. Just holy guacamole with a side of chipotle. The 7 days after a dose is such an emotional landslide

Actually I do NEED it. It doesn't cover up symptoms it prevents my body from releasing eggs which cause the cysts. As someone with multiple chronic conditions I hate hearing all the time how they can just be magically fixed by change of diet and exercise. Please next time don't give advice that is false or ignorant. It actually prevents me from being in the hospital and doesn't just cover up symptoms. It's is a treatment/prevention so it doesn't keep happening.

Yes! I have a decent amount of medical problems and have been taking many pills a day for the last few years (keep in mind, I’m only 14). I do have to take birth control (not for actual birth control, it’s for hormones) and I have to take it every day at the same time. It was a little hard at first but you get into a routine where you just automatically think about it at the time you’re supposed to take it and you just get up and take it. I’ve only missed a few days and those were because of a vacation and because of a competition

So my GF doesn’t take the pill. We use condoms and we are fine. Guys there are tons of different brands of condoms and if you have to pay a bit more than before, but they end up being a bit better then do that.

Same, got bad iron deficiency. Was pretty much only awake for 6-8 hours a day due to it at one point when I was twelve. Also passed out, nothing quite like waking up on the floor alone and disoriented. Parents didn’t notice since they were at work, but I am pretty sure there were other times I just passed out and they thought I fell asleep in weird places. I was lucky that I could afford the more expensive option, since some have severe side affects.
