The people complaining about this are the same people who think MSFS hours are equivalent to actual flight hours. Dune was an incredible movie and I'm stoked to fly this in the sim without the expectation of it translating into my actual flight training!

Hate?? This is SICK!! it flies like a dream!! Switching between the glide, dive and using after burners to get yourself an extra kick of speed is such a thrill!! In VR its a treat!!

This plane looks cool (as a non-flight simmer guy). Dune was a great movie. The only thing that sucked about Dune back in 2021 was waiting 30 minutes through commercials at the theater. Movie was supposed to start at 12:30. Took until 1:00 to start. Yes, I still remember how long the pre-roll commercials were. Remember when theater trailer and insurance adverts were only for 15 minutes back in the early 2010s?

But yes, heck of a great movie!! As someone who read the book I was blown away by how well it captured its spirit and now flying one of these brings out a young fantasy!!

Hey Swiss, I have a video idea. You should go to Phuket, Thailand and go to a beach called Mai khao which is like Princess Juliana. They fly 777s and other widebody aircraft there. Great vid btw

Planes are fixed wings aircrafts. Helicopters are rotary wings aircrafts. Ornithopter are not planes nor helicopters as they obtain lift by flapping wings. Just like hot air balloons, they are a different type of aircraft.

is it infinite? Infinite universe was the idea from the times of static universe. Nowadays it's not so simple. Maybe it's not infinite, maybe it is warped such that even if you could live forever and go with the speed of light in a straight line - you would never "punch through" to the outside of it, but rather end up in the same spot again. Like walking on the surface of a ball.

Can someone explain why people dislike it? Of course, it's not something we asked for, but it's great to fly for 10 minutes and not touch it ever again. I mean, they could create an A350 with the same attention to detail, and everyone would appreciate it more. However, it's really fine.

I'm not a huge fan of it at all it was a 10gb update just for it and with it not being a real aircraft (at least the dark star is more plausible to be real) and sci fi i feel like it isn't in line with what MSFS is and they could've added any other update like maybe one of the new game modes shown in the MSFS 2024 trailer. The only reason why this happened is because its just a giant marketing ad MSFS was paid to develop and push.

the reason you have to change you're control settings is because of the amount of features it has which are not available on other planes, glide mode, dive, regular flight mode, rockets.
