I don’t hate games, I hate a game. It’s called Overwatch 2.

This video reminded me of one of my mates who recently has said to me that they’ve “quit gaming” because of things like “wanting to be an adult” and I can sorta understand why he sees gaming that way (mainly cause he almost only played live service games), but I definitely love video games and don’t think I’d ever want to live a life without them but the way he interacted with gaming definitely didn’t help his health. I guess the part that annoys me the most about him going on about that is just the way he almost seems like he’s trying to convince me to agree with him, but every time I just cannot and have to let him know that video games are literally just as much as a waste of time if not less of scrolling on your phone for hours looking at tiktok/shorts. Also another point, I do think it is quite stupid for people to stigmatise playing as even if you don’t call it “playing” I can bet that most people on the planet try to find ways to play on the daily/ it’s just natural bro
