I feel like we watch completely different shows. Where did you get that Hyeseon, of all people, would accept betrayal? She's literally the only woman on the show who wouldn't put up with shit. She was the only one who maintained her self-respect and didn't humiliate herself for Gwanhee. It was always Gwanhee who ran after her and in the bonfire scene he didn't cry because he had to go back to training, he cried FOR HER.

The idea that Hyeseon would tolerate cheating is insane lol. Nothing about her character suggests that. The disrespect towards her ignores that she's assertive and obsesses with her being bubbly. Bubbly doesn't mean she's not intelligent. And a woman that says "If you can't decide, go for the other woman" is not someone who stays through cheating. Don't disrespect my girl Hyeseon! My take on Gwanhee is that he's extremely insecure. He feels connected to Hyeseon best emotionally and is also physically attracted to her but other girls are more willing to chase him and validate him, and he's a coward. That's why he keeps harping on the WonIk thing. It seems like a dumb excuse he pulls out but I think he actually does obsess over it. He is more physically attracted to Minji but isn't that emotionally attracted, but he likes that she will hang off of him like he hung the sun and reassure him that she wants him and cry over him a million times. It seemed that he was asking himself "Do I want a hot girlfriend that strokes my ego but no emotional connection? Do I want someone that will love me more than I love them? They will make me happy and never give me trouble" or "Do I want someone that will love me only as much or maybe slightly less than I love them? That's a truer connection, but it's a more dangerous situation for me. Why risk it when I can live a safe life with someone else I find hot anyway?" He basically said this with the wife v. girlfriend thing. He did not empathize with what he was doing to Hyeseon (forget Minji, I could care less about her rude self!) until she indicated she was tired of him, less attracted due to his indecisiveness and ready to just make the choice for him. In fact, I think he liked making her unsure because he wanted her to beg and suck up to him and make him feel safe, so that he could pick her and feel safe and get his ego stroked while still being with the woman he actually wanted. She refused to give him this, so he turned to the woman willing to kiss his butt, so Hyeseon said "okay bye then!" and he turned back around and started panicking realizing how badly it would hurt to take the coward's way out and commit to a shallow relationship just for ego and safety. But he was still a coward, so he most likely then started obsessing over the fact that she was willing to let him go as proof that a relationship with her would not protect his fragile ego. I think he kept weighing "hot and safe" with "true emotional connection" until Hyeseon admitted her heart did not flutter, started crying at the pit and talking about how much she would miss everyone. I think a few things happened in his head at that moment. a) her saying she will miss people made him again have to think about never being able to see her again b) she started crying, and seeing her cry made him extremely emotional. The fact that seeing her cry made him hurt like that emphasized how much he had grown to care for her, which I don't think he fully fully understood until that moment because he has the emotional intelligence of a teenager. I think he was surprised by how much seeing her cry upset him and how much more he cared about it compared to Minji's tears. This finalized the decision and when he was able to think about someone other than himself and his own insecurities and ego needs for ten seconds, he realized how much he had hurt someone he cared about. When she said her heart did not flutter and that she would take back the first day, combined with her telling him to just pick Minji, these were little pieces that made him realize that while he was worried about if she could treat him in his ideal way, he has not been treating her the way her ideal man would treat her and she might not want him in the end. He realized he was "weighing his options" so much that he was losing the only option that would hurt to lose. That's why he pulled her aside to apologize, but also to admit that he felt the deepest emotional connection to her. Again, he says it himself when he says he would not think of Minji if he was with Hyeseon but if he was with Minji, he would be thinking of Hyeseon. This reminds me of my first break up when I was a teenager. I felt manipulated and after, I remember telling my friend that from now on I'm only dating boys that are a little dumb but hot and loving. It was a dumb, toxic thing to say, but the whole point of wanting something like that is that you feel safe, are having fun and feel your confidence is constantly boosted by their attention. Gwanhee was stuck in the teenage mindset and was tempted towards a trophy-like relationship with Minji to make him feel better about himself, but made a more mature choice to actually take the risk of someone who would be an equal partner. Will he be good to her? Idk, insecure immature people can do horrible things and I don't trust him after he repeatedly chose to soothe his insecurities while disregarding her feelings through the season. But it's possible, because I do think he cares about her. But if she cheats, I have no doubt that Hyeseon would leave.

dude literally started tearing up when hyeseon insinuated she regretted picking him on day 1 and when she said no one made her heart flutter and 😭 icb people took the training comment seriously. he saw her crying and he knew it was because of him and that finally made him release the tears he was holding. it was so obvious please. i'm not gonna lie and say gwan hee hasn't been indecisive and a fool but if you really pay attention you can see that he's always treated hyeseon differently since the very beginning. she was always the one he would ask about, always approached her first even though he said he wanted girls to do the approaching. he didn't really care much if the other girls hung out with other guys but every time someone mentioned hyeseon might have something with wonik he would become visibly upset. even his decision to go with minji to paradise was influenced by hyeseon going to paradise with wonik first. and when he returned from a supposedly great date with minji the first thing he did was ask about her. even when the other guys were asking about him and minji he was half asleep whispering her name like what was that? 😭 he was embarrassingly and quite obviously obsessed with her. he even acknowledged it a couple times saying he didn't know why he couldn't stop thinking about her. i also think it's important to highlight that when hajeong called him out he said he started feeling distant and lost interest in her but when hyeseon did he got scared of losing her. and that fear intensified during the bonfire when he saw that she was obviously tired and wasn't going to entertain his stupid questions anymore that's when it finally clicked for him. which was made even more obvious by him seeking her out to have a serious conversation and then crying again in front of her. anyway, i don't blame people for not noticing these little things it's just a little frustrating for those who did 😅.

I mean, he's constantly playing these stupid little games even though he treats her better, it doesn't change how much of a red flag he is. Hopefully he acts right outside this show and it was mostly just an act(he is an entertainer after all). Or they break up amicably if they actually date. @@no.6377 yeah i understand that. i wanna believe it was partly that and partly that messy nature of a reality like if you think about it it makes sense wanting to know people in a dating reality show. it also makes sense that someone would be a little confused about it. but i do agree that he acted in ways that were a bit questionable at times... i do hope it was because of that and that irl he can work his issues out bc it's very noticeable he's insecure. rumours say it's cause he's rich so he was afraid he wouldn't be liked because of him and only would be liked bc of his status and fame etc. still, i hope things work out for the both of us. i think they're cute and i like their dynamic that seems out of a kdrama but this being real life i hope they can have a much more calm and healthy relationship outside 😭

lol I feel like we were watching a different show like the female panelist I predicted he'd pick hyeseon I heard his persona on the show is vastly different from real life (it'd be horrible if it wasn't lol) and that he was putting on an act to entertain I dont think he knew he would be this emotionally connected with hyeseon until she cried and he thought he was losing her that sealed the deal for me I think minji was just personal/looks attraction that'll fade away fast and since he's more of a long term relationship kind of guy (last rels being 6 years long) he wanted something that is more serious but that's just me guessing

Hyeseon is the only girl among the three who wouldn't had forgiven him. He literally was all in in Hyeseon from start but doing drama because he wanted to be the star of the show. I never liked Gwanghee but watching the show i could see he was actually attracted to Hyeseon not online phicically but emotionally. Gosh it was so easy to figure out Gwanhee's decision, how did y'all not pick up on it? First his convo with Hyeseon when she told him to pick Minji if he was still undecided. That right there was the turning point that made him come to his senses. Like "Oh crap, if i don't get my sh*t together i might actually lose this girl". Then the bonfire. He cried because he saw Hyeseon emotional which in turn made him emotional. It was already clear to me then that he was gonna pick her because both Hajeong & Minji had cried for him before but it was Hyeseon crying that actually affected him. Seeing her upset made him upset too and i think he was surprised how much her being hurt affected him. Their last convo was also very clear: He told her how much she actually emotionally touched him, how good of a person she is and that he's learning a lot from her (If you remember, Gwanhee said to her on their first date that he wants a girl he can learn something from) Basically he was saying she was the one he connected emotionally with and he cried again because he realized how much his actions had hurt her, feeling sorry about that. If that all wasn't obvious enough, his reaction to her walking down the beach was a dead giveway: the breath of relief, the slight smile and the little nod exchange they had before he started talking, kinda like assuring eachother. Also his speech about "Don't cry when you're alone, don't eat alone..." was because Basketball season was gonna start soon and Hyeseon is now doing her masters in the UK so they wouldn't be able to see eachother often. He was basically telling her to not feel lonely even while they're long distance. I get you don't like Gwanhee, believe me, i'mnot his biggest Fan either, but he earned some pointers here because he actually showed some self awarness and growth by admitting he was the problem and realizing his actions had hurt people, especially Hyeseon. I'm not mad at all he chose Hyeseon. If anyone of those girls was right for him it's her and if they decided to go the distance, she'll be good for him. Hyeseon is the type of girl who can lift him up when he needs it but will also keep him in check.

I think you guys are totally misunderstanding the conversation between hyeseon and gwanhee around the fire and when he talks to her privately. A few things seemed to have flown over your heads. Part of it is the subs you've chosen (CC), I had that one at first and was confused with what he meant. When I switched to English subs what he was saying made more sense to me. Around the fire Hyeseon was mad because he said he hadn't made a decision yet - (he was lying because he had wanted to keep his decision private, but she didn't know that and thought he was STILL undecided). This hurt Hyeseon. So, she basically implied that she would drop him with her answers to the other casts questions. That is why Gwanhee looked upset at her answers because she was basically going cold on her feelings for him. He cried not because of training but because of hyeseon. The reason he said basketball was to mask it. He didn't want to share that with the other cast, just like he didn't want to share that he actually did already make a decision of who to pick. The things he was saying to Hyeseon during their private conversation was NOT about rejecting her. He realized that his dishonesty at the firepit had hurt her and that was why she was going cold on him. He had already made the decision to CHOOSE her but because he was trying to hide this from others (obv she didn't know that at the time) he ended up hurting her. THAT is why he said he felt sorry towards Hyeseon the most, more than Minji (who was the person he was actually going to reject) as you don't want to hurt the person you care about. After, he was trying to reassure her that he cares for her the most, and that their time together had meant the most to him. The bit at the end when he says the things about you will be fine eating without me blah blah blah is because when the leave inferno they may potentially be in a long distance relationship as she is studying in England. That is what they meant all along about plans for outside inferno throughout the episode. If you know this, his comments make more sense. The comment about about Hyeseon forgiving his protentional cheating is a dumb and shallow take tbh - she displayed multiples times in this episode that she won't tolerate it. At table she made it clear if he was confused about his feelings then he can go to Minji, and she turned cold towards him and his indecisiveness. That's why he was stuttering and tripping over his words, or crying when she was cold to him - because he knew he only had this one chance to potentially be with her as she said she will block his ass outside of inferno (she said this in the hot tub).

Dude why the hell is the guy constantly interrupting the girl on the end? Like I notice this in every single video and I try to ignore it but it is so annoying and frustrating to see, I wish he would stop. I couldn't imagine being in Minwoo's position during the confrontation. Her tone and the way she disregarded his explanation, and acted like a complete narcissist was insane to me. She switched personalities, the second she realized that he was leaning towards Sieun and was about to reject her. Calling him "Gwanhee" was also entirely wrong, since we all know that Minwoo NEVER treated any of the girls like options. He didn't divide Sieun and Gyuri by percentages, but by interest and the one he connected with the most. He had not even been to paradise with Sieun, and yet his interest never went away. I understand that it might have felt, like a blow to the stomach, but the way Gyuri worded it was wrong. However, I saw her recent post and I'm thrilled that she realized her mistake, and apologized to Minwoo and Sieun after what happened. At least she is mature enough to acknowledge how immature her actions were. It means that she's aware of her mistankes, and is trying to make up for what happened.

Even though I still think Gyu-ri went a bit overboard, I completely understand where her frustration comes from. We know she thought Si-eun and won-ik liked eachother and that she probably didn't think Si-eun and min-woo liked each other because in the timeframe they didn't spend much time together. She went to paradise with Min-woo and clearly showed she liked him, and then after they TOGETHER agree that he would not reach out to other girls. I completely understand her frustration and hurt when just a day later he tells her that he likes Si-eun. He did pretty much go back on his promise. Gyu-ri seems like the type that wants her interest for herself, and people can be like that and that is entirely okay, as long as it is communicated well between the 2 parties. Which I think she did pretty well, considering she literally told him to not reach out to other girls. So when Min-woo tells her she probably got a mix of anger, frustration, confusion and jealousy resulting in her explosion. I see a lot of people calling her fak, but I disagree. She was really nice throughout the show, but suddenly she feels betrayed after only 1 day. I thought her reaction was very realistic
