As far as I am aware, there are narrations with people who will be tortured in the grave, and they will believe they will go to jahannam, but will be surprised when Allah forgives them. So basically, for the people who are given glad tidings - we do not have narrations that they will go to jahannam, but if one is a Muslim and tortured in the grave - Allahu a'lam.

Today, western culture is far more humble and more islamic (I am talking about the western people not their governments).
