There are indeed many freeloaders and it's been like that for decades. For a gruesome 3 years, nearly 50 years ago I worked in a Jobcentre. Back then it was just the same on the BBC etc - how terrible the unemployment levels were, people couldn't get work blah blah. They should have had a spell in a Jobcentre. We had a stack of vacancies, especially for machinists, that we couldn't fill because people, if forced to an interview i.e. they weren't allowed to collect their benefit until they'd attended an interview, made sure they didn't get the job. Many employers would no longer place vacancies with the Jobcentre because they were sick of time wasters, or specified they would only see people already employed. Employed people looking for a change of job would register with us and they, along with people in the construction industry whose jobs were often short term so a few weeks on the dole between contracts was normal, were the most easy to place. While fairly new to the Jobcentre, I came in one morning and the rest of the staff were apoplectic because a notorious family had been on the BBC the night before claiming that they visited the Jobcentre every day but there were no jobs, and they couldn't remember when they last had a holiday. One of my colleagues, very agitated almost shrieked "They've just come back from Majorca".

Ah yes, target the native British working class while treating immigrants like kings. Typical. Maybe if he hadnt of spent billions housing them in 5 star hotels youd wouldnt be clamouring to claw back money from the benefits system. Most people on benefits are actually working. If you need benefits to top up wages, youre simply subsidising scummy employers, then blaming the minority of scroungers for the benefits bill. Why dont you do a video where you discuss the costs each immigrant heaps on the country by arriving having paid so little up front? A low skilled worker does not earn enough to pay enough tax to cover the services they inditially use. So every year you have huge initial cost for immigrants in the hope you get it back eventually. That means each year you increase immigrant figures, the more it costs you. And how much are the universities paying into the local services? Nothing. Yet they are also flooding cities with immigrants studying also. They use all our local services as well.

At the start of Covid, I ended up out of work, I was applying for loads of jobs a week throughout the UK, and even over seas. I lost count of how many jobs, I was offered, but the jobs got cancelled, or didn't exist in the first place. When I went in for my UC interviews, I was told I was the only person who was actually looking for a job, it's a requirement that you spend 30 hours per week looking for job, I must have been doing atleast 13 hours per day. I got my own job, they really don't help find, or get you a job. No mention of how much foreigners on benifits get, bearing in mind they get a lot more benifits than British people, and yes there are people getting it who really shouldn't be.

I also know someone who last worked in 1980, now retired, 40Yrs on Benefits (wife + 1 kid), he had no intention of getting a job and didn't work, he worked on the principle that if he got a job he would have to payout for a Car/petrol/etc, after which he would not be much better of, and considered that a stress free life was worth more that getting a job, sure he didn't have a fancy car or go on fancy holidays, but on the other hand he didn't have to get up at 6am 5days a week

I totally agree with the Lady about electronically applying for a job, I have helped all my children apply for work, which they never got replies to, it becomes extremely frustrating! Eventually after months of effort they got jobs either through a friend or through an agency! Also myself as I am between seasonal work, I have applied for hundreds of Xmas jobs and not one opportunity has come my way! It's a terrible system! In many cases I see the same jobs I applied for coming up again and again and still I hear nothing!

My son after losing his father a divorce and’s abusive relationship. Suffering from depression Lost his job and home. He was 42 and never been out of work he came to live with me with the support of his family after 6 months he got a job and is back on his feet. He asked for a leg up not a hand out from government agencies. He got a very small amount of money because he was living with me. But no support with housing and just pills for mental health. Now he’s back in work the government are not reticent to take money to support other people who have never contributed. I feel very bitter. I am a pensioner with limited income and little savings. But I am grateful I could help him he is now paying me back. But there’s no safety net for the single hard working individual in this country.

Some people make gross assumptions about people lives and illnesses. Many of them brought about due to their job in the 1st place. Yes, there are pro scroungers, but many of them get found out eventually. The nation's economy is in a mess, due to the policies of the GOVERNMENT, not the fault of people at the bottom of the pile. They can find endless amounts of money to pay for illegal migrants held in 3, 4 and 5-star hotels, free room and board, plus free mobile contracts plus an allowance. What do our 300,000+ homeless get from the government? Nothing. The cabinet and their friends, since early 2020, have made themselves very rich, after raiding taxpayer funds to line their own pockets, while destroying small and medium-sized businesses. This was all pre-planned, and part of the One World Order agenda, which our treasonous politicians are conspiring to enable.

Why doesn’t the government train these people for industries where there is a skill shortage, surely it makes sense to do this rather than pay people to sit around doing nothing.

Because its class warfare. Upper classes want to replace the native British working class. We arent even the same people as them, the toffs have zero native blood. The average brit has like 70% native Brittonic blood. Welsh even higher. Toffs most commonly have different blood groups to us even. Why do you think they import 1million per year, even though every year they import more, more emigrate? Those people are leaving the country for the same reason the natives have left London. They mostly go to other countries that other white brits have fled to, Australia , Canada, USA etc. They are suffering the same issues but on a lesser scale though. They want to replace us, plain and simple.

Most people on benefits do struggle because they are honest on their applications, it's those who know exactly how to work the system and fiddle thousands every year who should be clamped down on. The problem is that when the government announces a clamp down on benefits many completely genuine cases have their benefits stopped too. They cannot solve the immigration problem so they go after the sick and disabled, always an easy target.

It's the ones who are abusing the system that ruin it for the genuine ones. I'm a pensioner with health difficulties, yet still go out to work because needs must. I have a neighbour who hasn't worked for over 25 years and gets disability yet she is never ill when it comes to a holiday abroad (at least twice a year), a wedding, a weekend away, a party., etc etc... if she can afford to go abroad on benefits and I work and cant afford a holiday abroad, there is something far wrong with the benefits system.
