If you've ever sewn with a Singer Feather Light, you'll know why they're so popular...smooth as silk. I had a bunch of old antique sewing machines and parts. I took them apart and sold the pieces and bought a Feather Light with the money. The Singer pieces and accessories are very good sellers. And you reminded me...I have one of those button hole gadgets somewhere that I need to sell. Fun video, thanks for the company!

Featherweight - the gem of quilters. Perfect to take to weekend quilting events or training. Walking foot used to direct and follow quilting patterns (think feathers, circles, etc.) The machine, so light and so accurate.

Great video. I learned to sew on my mother’s Singer featherweight. She got it as a teen in 1946/47 as soon as Singer started producing them again after WW2. It’s the only sewing machine she ever owned, and it’s still going strong at my siblings house…

The hoop you were showing that sold for $330.50 was mine. I had seen this as a BOLO and found one on an online auction with other sewing items. Paid $81.00 for all the lot and was so excited when this sold. Love watching you both. Great tips and information!

I always check the sewing/ craft section. I've found a crewel kit that sold for $80 to someone in Japan, paid $2. I have found a set of the button hole cams before but they were priced at $20, so I left them. The Bucilla Christmas stocking kits are a good pick-up also. And they are easy to ship!

Freearm is when a piece of the bed on the left can be removed. The bed around the needle is now maybe 3-4” and one can sew sleeves or the hem of a pant leg which can be slipped around the sewing bed. This way there’s no tugging of the fabric because the garment area can move freely. I hope this makes sense. I just listed a singer buttonholer with box etc and a White brand one. Only the White brand had a eyelet cam. I can’t find a comp for that cam alone so I just made a note of it in the listing just now. Thanks for doing all the great research!

@@marydumois4242was it really? This was a year ago but I don’t really remember what I was thinking when I replied. As I’m typing this the answer to the question literally went across the screen at the very beginning of the video- probably explaining it better than I could type. But I’ll try. BOLO means Be On the LookOut and is a term used by resellers among others. If you knew my channel at all - snarky is not my vibe. 😊
