I just came across this video which o love all of them. Since 2000 I've traveled to Panama twice a year for business/personal. The molas I'm familiar with. The Kuna Indians sew the molas and I have some large exquisite ones. The ones you have were probably from The Vulcan (volcano in Anton) at Sunday Market. They are sold so cheaply its ridiculous. 1 or 2 dollars for the small ones. Its fun to watch them sew the molas...layering different colors of fabric. You made out really really good.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned or not, but for future reference, don’t use superglue on any glass or crystal items as it will “frost” that area and really show up. There are better glues for that type of repair.

Great video! I love how thorough you are with where you got things and how long they took to sell. One note and a caution - the mermaid ornament definitely is not a Radko. Radko Italians typically still have a cap. Rarely did they use the curled over glass for the hook, and this is not one of those times. I know google lens ID'd it as Radko, but it was likely from a listing which also mis-identified it. If the seller did not include the name and item number, it is because they are just guessing it is a Radko, but have no real idea. An item number could then be double checked in Radko back catalogs, which are nearly all posted on Radko's website. The caution about misidentifying Radkos - Radko collectors are a competitive bunch. They will bid first, ask questions later, in their rush to beat the competition. But once they receive the ornament, they often have much sharper eyes for the questionable details, and will seek a return/refund if they realize the ornament is not a Radko. Especially since this is a Made in China ornament....

I am curious with all the online Hi-Bid pieces you sold, were those all shipped to you? And do you just figure you'll charge about the same in shipping when you sell it? Or how do you account for that shipping cost? I ask because I've heard you say before that HiBid vendors can often gouge you on the shipping. I bought my first item on HiBid recently and they charged me $21 for a box of thimbles. They did pack them really well but that seemed awfully high, and the item was only $20 so that doubled my cost. How many items do you keep on your store ... do you have inventory goals?
@TheNurseFlipper2 жыл бұрын
I have 5500 currently, my goal was 5000, but we're not stopping :D

@@TheNurseFlipper have you identified a certain inventory level needed in order to provide consistent sales revenue... Is there some “magic” ratio?

When you win on high bid do you go and pick the items up or have them shipped to you? I've always been afraid of the shipping charges.

I do about half and half and some are scary. I might do a video update on hibid on Friday

Not a research video but what about a typical DITL of a reseller?

I think I have a couple, but maybe I'll do a updated one!

Are most of your hibid wins local pickup or shipped to you? It seems like most of the auctions around me don't have very good items. Thanks!
