You can get a similar experience a lot of people are describing from meditation. Blackness, timelessness and a sense of absolute peace and comfort. I lost all fear of death the day I had that first experience as well like some people describe. I genuinely think, based on my own experiences and what I've heard, that with things like meditation and psychadelics we can glimpse beyond the veil, if for but a few moments.

My grandpa clinically died in the hospital once. He was going to the bathroom and just dropped dead, he said he didn’t experience anything, like one moment he was walking to the bathroom and next moment he was on the floor with doctors surrounding him.

After my dad passed away I was having nightmares of him being lost in the hospital and still alive. Then I had a good dream about him. Before he died he's legs were both amputated and he had kidney failure and heart failure and was on oxygen and a feeding tube. So needless to say in unimaginal pain and was suffering immensely. The dream I had had brought me peace and I felt it was him. He was walking in a garden with his legs. Not sick but happy at peace. just a beautiful garden. He love the outdoors. he loved his yard and he loved his ranch even thinking about it now washes my soul with peace.

Damn I wish I could answer. Unfortunately my death was when I was very, very young. However, after I was revived I did have some side effects due to the lack of oxygen to my brain. All I know is that my dad was freaking out a bit, mom was passed out, everyone else was a bit worried because I had no brain or heart activity

I've clinically been 3 times, twice as a child and once as an adult, and sadly didn't experience anything at all.

The story about too much anesthesia happened to me. Surgery was short, my mom was notified it went well but got worried when I seemed to be in recovery for a long time. I remember stopping breathing. Nurse kept saying you have to keep breathing hun, happened twice then the oxygen thing was shoved into my nose then I was out cold. When I woke up finally no oxygen on my face and my mom was there. Did I imagine the oxygen? Who knows.

I was out hunting raccoons with my dad when I was 8-9 years old, in December, late at night, in the northern midwest, and he told me "stand on the bank of the river, AND DO NOT MOVE!" (So that I wouldn't get in the way of the dogs tracking or a shot). Well, what did I do? Took a step or 2 to my left, fell about 10 feet off of the bank, hit the ice, and then went through it. Was in the icy water for several minutes before I could be resucued. Unconscious and frozen. Resuscitated. Driven home at insane speeds and thrown into a hot bath. Whether or not I was "clinically dead", I don't know. I don't remember seeing anything, but this would have been about 1989 in a very rural area. 45 min from any hospital.

@Amy Xoxo I actually agree that you shouldn't just shoot animals for no reason. I would only shoot an animal for food or to protect livestock,etc personally. As far as who hunts raccoons, I'm guessing quite a few people, considering our Kennel Club papered dogs were called Blue Tick CoonHounds, and hunting raccoons is their primary existence. Back when this happened, a raccoon pelt was in the $30 range, and minimum wage would have been about $4/hr, That extra survival money didn't hurt for my dad.

When I was about 5 I was hit in the face, just above my left eye, by a brick thrown by a silly girl. I can remembr being operated on, looking up into the faces of the surgeon and nurses. I can also remember being higher than them, and looking down at them while they worked away. It's a memory I couldn't process for some years but when I was older it made more sense.

A good handful of people getting met by a mysterious man. And out of body experiences. Neat. As raised Christian, I'm lead to believe it to be Michael or Samael, the Archangels of Death(depending on where you read it may vary) but others may feel the man other beings.
@ares_bluesteel3 жыл бұрын
All of this conforms with Christianity. The out of body experience is the soul leaving the body. The mysterious man is likely an angel in a familiar form (human) coming to guide the person, and is likely who tells them it’s not their time. The Bible does talk about angel or angels being present after someone dies. There’s even an “angel of death” described in Exodus.

I dont know about dying but i had an experience similar to many of these where it was nothingness until i was born and concious of my existence
@Zelphraeya3 жыл бұрын
Same. And I have seizures (sometimes I'm still conscious and sometimes unconscious). They have given me a sense of being dead or dying (being trapped in the body and not being able to make yourself move, being able to hear your own thoughts in nothingness, no time perception, sometimes hearing high pitched ringing that turns into static, sometimes seeing geometric patterns when I'm still conscious. It can be peaceful but usually it's terrifying- but I feel that is due to my need to be in control for safety reasons. I think once I am at peace with the loss of control over my body I will be ready to die).
