During a big online conference with all of the company’s employees (we’re talking like 400-500 people), one of the presenters went missing. The higher-ups forgot to mute their mics, so they were panicking and kept asking, “Where’s Dale? Can anyone find Dale? Anyone know where Dale is???” for around five minutes. We were all dying laughing because no one knew who-or where-Dale was.

Pfft the last segment cracked me up- so unexpected i thought it was an ad until I looked at my phone and saw the video still playing. Usually i hate when creators who do this sort of content put their actual selves into the video, since its usually a sponsorship ad in the middle, but this was actually kind of a pleasant surprise lol

Boy was I onthe wrong end of this about a week ago. My laptop wasn’t behaving and nobody around me could figure out why or how to fix it. So obviously I called tech-support. The person I got connected with was named Malachi. I’m not kidding. I tried to explain what was going on, and he was being an absolute ass the entire time. This will be relevant here in a second. I even warned this guy at the beginning of the call that I am not the most tech savvy person and apologized in advance if it was a really stupid problem that I needed help with. I know how rough people working that field have it. One of my friends has told me plenty of stories. That being said, he was still being an absolute dick. I guess something happened on his end and he put me on hold. Now I don’t know if he flat out lied and just muted me to see what I would say, or he put me on hold but came back online essentially but I didn’t realize at first. My sister is on the verge of having a baby. My comment to her was this. While I thought I was on hold. “Sis. Please for shit’s sake tell me that you have changed your mind about naming your kid Malachi! If you do, he may grow up to be an absolute fuckwad like this guy! “ I heard this loud clearing of the throat from my phone and realized… Oh shit. He probably hurt all of that and I didn’t realize. It’s a good thing I can make my voice do the right thing. I’m pretty good at verbally keeping a poker face. I’m just glad this wasn’t on a video call or something, or everything I was feeling would’ve been written all over my face. Including my tendency to start shaking my head and rolling my eyes whenever things start happening as ridiculous as this guy. I don’t feel bad about doing this one bit though. He literally asked me if I knew where the on and off button is on my laptop! And he also said that I sounded like a blonde and that blondes are always airheads. I’m a brunette if that even matters. And I don’t space out when it comes to stuff like this. Although I guess you could argue that my filter completely spaces out at the wrong time. Lol. I guess it could’ve been worse.
