He was the perfect down to earth person to play the lead role of Harry Potter. He turned out great and not a lot of child stars do. I’m so proud of him.
@hallouminati3422 Жыл бұрын
I think it's about what he said in another interview about how the cast and crew felt like family to the kids. They had a safe and fun environment to grow up in and professionals that genuinely cared about them. This is sadly not the case for all productions involving kid actors.
@PaddyMcShane Жыл бұрын
It's rare to have a set of children that's safe, and his parents are industry whilst being goof parents. So they didn't let him waste his money when he was younger, but they also didn't try to take their kids money. Normal people typically produce normal children. Unfortunately many child actors are NOT so lucky
@KendraKjolseth Жыл бұрын
@hallouminati3422 @PaddyMcShane you both make very good points, it’s sad to think a lot of adults force kids to act in movies so they can make money off of them. I’m glad the adults involved in the Harry Potter films were looking out for the children and keeping the set a safe place for them to grow up.

When I was a kid I got to go on set of Harry potter and have lunch with him and some others from the cast,, rupert, James, Oliver, they came out of their trailers, we sat on a wooden picnic table outside and had scrambled eggs and some other stuff in these takeaway boxes. Best day of my life, only thing is I can't remember when it was, my family won a radio contest which is how we got to meet them. For ages I've wanted to ask Dan if he remembered it, I'm 25 so not that much younger than Dan, but I doubt he'd remember considering how hectic his life has been.

But to a new generation, they will accept whomever gets to play Harry Potter in a series (provided it’s well done, of coarse) because they didn’t grow up watching the original films. Sort of reminds me of fans of the original Star Wars trilogy not wanting to accept the prequels and the actors who starred in them.

@@MsAppassionata I watched all 3 Star Wars trilogies, and enjoyed them for the good moments. I had issues with then, sure, but they were all good in their own merit. There are many KZbin "legends" going around about Avi leaving. IMHO it's not up to us as the fans to judge one way or the other. Based on the video the group made announcing that Avi was leaving the group, it had little to do with his desire to release his own music. It had everything to do with the grueling touring schedule and his inability to spend time with loved ones. One of the reasons reported as his mother going through cancer and his desire to be with her through that difficult time of her life. As others have said, he signed the agreement - whatever the actual terms were, and additionally, from some reports, PTX had been working on a lot of original music and a new album that all had to be scrapped because of Avi leaving - music that will never see the light of day, if those reports are true. Considering the incredible writing ability of the members of this group, if that is the case, what a waste of excellent music! I think something some people fail to acknowledge is that PTX didn't kick Avi out; he instigated the break. He got exactly what he wanted and needed - to be able to be with family and to get out of the box he was obviously in performing PTX's sounds and genre when his heart was in an entirely different place. Everyone won here - including Matt, who would never have had the opportunity to sing with his heroes if Avi hadn't left. Ultimately, this was a win-win. Even for the fans, since now they get to enjoy the music Avi may not have produced while still with PTX and the new music they are producing would have gone in an entirely different direction. Also, from all reports of the situation with Avi's mother's health, it would be unreasonable for us to think that he was just impatiently waiting to put out music of his own during that time. I'm quite sure the contract didn't say he couldn't write new music while he was spending time with his mother and when get health stabilized her could then begin to produce his own music.
