I loved X files the show. I would have had no problem with Robert Patrick replacing David, but I guess other people did not see it that way. I actually preferred him on the show. I thought he was much cooler and X files is about people getting into spooky stuff, I didn't really need Mulder for that.

I never really cared for the X-Files, but I'd watch the episodes with him in them! You know an actor is loved if people will see everything or almost everything with them in it. Even if it's not that great.

God, I wish John Doggett had returned to the X Files for the Event series a few years ago. Skinner was there, obviously Mulder and Scully as well as CSM. I liked Doggett

I loved watching Robert Patrick on The X Files when I was a kid! That and Spy Kids were the first things I saw him in before I saw T2. I know everyone missed Mulder when he stopped being on the show regularly. So did I, but I took a liking to Doggett as soon as he appeared. No doubt the T-1000 is one of Robert's best role ever, but Agent Doggett will forever be one of his most memorable roles for me.

I'm so thankful for the internet and streaming services. Now i can go back and watch almost every film and interview that Robert Patrick has been in. I have always liked him. He's such a talented actor. It was not easy to follow his work back in the '90s and 2000s especially since I was still a kid, living outside the U.S., didn't understand much English, didn't have access to international media. I'm so glad i can finally catch up on everything i missed and appreciate his amazing career even more. Also, now that my English has improved, rewatching his old work and interviews feels so different. I can understand so much more and appreciate his performances on a whole new level.

Robert Patrick is great; I've enjoyed his performances for years. He's also probably the only actor in history to have played the fathers of both Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. Oh, and then there was "Lonely Street (2009) in which he played a version of Elvis.

Um...he played John Doggett, the agent who came in to replace Mulder when Mulder got abducted by aliens. Irl, Fox had fired David for some dumb reason and brought in Robert before having to bring back David after ratings plummeted because Mulder wasn't there

stevienightheat1 Doggett was a true hero and a very caring person who had been through hell. At times Muldur was just goofy and self-centered. I wish Fox gave Doggett and Reyes a spinoff of their own. The show really was amazing with them in the last two seasons.

He's a good actor, but the X-Files writers gave their most crap script writing in seasons eight and nine, and whatever else came afterwards. It never did Robert Patrick any justice. His casting was good as was modeling him after Bud in LA Confidential.

Doggett wasn't supposed to replace Mulder, he was supposed to replace Scully. I thought he was very likable, as he brought in a fresh take.

Robert did indeed have a sense of humor. He was quite a prankster too. If anyone ever gave him a hard time, he'd give them that creepy T-1000 stare and they'd get scared and back off. And he'd get a kick out of it! XD
