I understand where Judge M is coming from and why she always champions for families to work it out but she has to realise that her way of thinking isn’t always right! She clearly comes from a loving family, which is why she can’t imagine how a family can feel the way these litigants do and why family members decide to stop associating with toxic family members. Unless someone has been in that situation or lived through that kind of dysfunction and heartache, they will never understand. I myself come from a loving family and can’t imagine that I will ever be in this situation, but I can also understand that the only experience that I have, is the one that I’ve lived! So I would never tell another person what they should do in their situation based off of my experience, thoughts and feelings. It’s so easy for the judge to say what she says all of the time when it comes to family but she has to stop thinking she knows it all and that she is right, when all that she has is her own experience. Family or not, if someone is toxic in your life, you have the right to back away from them for your own sanity. If someone had a toxic friend or romantic relationship, I guarantee that the judge would tell them to cut that person off, so why should it be any different with family just because they are family? Toxic is toxic!

You took the words right out of my mouth. I love Judge Milan, but I disagree with her on this one big time. I had to cut out my Dad's side of the family after he died. Her Mom's life was fine. She and her son moved in with her because they needed to. Daughter decided to move and wanted her Mom to go knowing she would be without an income. She should have found means to pay her own phone bill though. People are talking about how the Mom basically disowned her daughter, but I haven't read yet any comments on how the daughter said if her mom was on fire she wouldn't spit on her to save her life. She's mad about the conversation with the boyfriend ( now ex). She WILL need her Mom again. I HAD a friend who's entire family cut ties with her because of how she treated everyone. Her parents helped raise her son ( and was doing a great job), she treated them terribly. She lost several friends who witnessed it. When her parents passed, noone at the funerals spoke to her...Noone. It's heartbreaking that family is like this towards each other. I don't know what ever happened to the person I was friends with, her children haven't spoken to her in years.
@catherinepowell4149 Жыл бұрын
If a mother says she doesnt know what happened to their child, I look at that mother sidewise. How could you not know? Where were you? Obviously, you don't know everything your children do or go through, but that statement just reeks of negligence to me. My mother doesn't know every little thing about me, but she knows all of my moods, she knows when I'm sad, she cries for me and with me, she laughs with me, she talks with me, she's THERE for me. I tell her many things. I trust her. This case disturbs me so much. Everyone deserves a loving and present mother who speaks life and love into them.

I hate when people on the outside don't know what's going on in the inside. It's so easy for people to sit there and say this is wrong this is wrong and not know the full story. Judge Milian does not know the full story. I know exactly what she means by know she doesn't want her mom seeing her son because there's just some mothers that are so evil and so diabolical and so hateful because of what they say to you when you're growing up. Because they love one kid more than they love another kid. And for her to say that she loves that grandchild and that she is raising two other ones those other ones need to be pulled out of that house because that woman is evil. I know she's evil because I grew up with a mother like that they're all nice and nice on the outside. But behind closed doors they're the devil themselves

Just get over it? The one time i do NOT agree eith the Judge. You do not know their past, you don't know the pain or use she did to that girl.

So sick of the excuse “they’re still family” no, toxic is toxic. You have the right to cut anyone off who is unhealthy to you!! Blood ain’t thicker than peace of mind.

judge was spot on! At some points you need to get over petty shit for the sake of family. Your mom was good enough for you to drop your kid off because you couldn’t take care of him and your baby daddy ain’t shit, but you will watch your mom burn? She is evil.

Many sympathetic comments for the daughter but none for the mother who was basically a built-in nanny for the daughter? The daughter is so obviously a user and I'm not buying the "mama was cruel and unkind" narrative some of you are in the comments section expressing. I believe the daughter has drug her mom through HELL countlessly and the mother being denied access to her grandchild was the final act or straw that broke the camel's back. If her mother wasn't a good person to the daughter while she was being raised, then why subject your son to someone that is cruel? The daughter comes across as entitled to her mom's time and the mother probably booked it when she realized that her daughter wanted HER to be the mother to her grandbaby instead of being a grandma.

Feelings fet hurt and pride and ego takes over. Humble love always wins. If you cannot then you lose at life. So sad.

They both need to be mindful of the words they were saying bc they very well may need each other in the future. Very sad for the grandchild

That daughter is hell because my mom is gone i would never treat my mom that way. And her momma took care of her son while she did whatever she wanted to do. God bless her.
