I don't really know how nasty or aggressive the father was with the defendant, but he must still be professional in what he does, although he didn't take the pictures. Throughout the episode he showed a real apathy towards everyone, his responses were very attitude-driven. If he treats his clientele like this, I don't know how he can maintain a business like that.

Not a photographer here, but is it normal to bill according to the number of pictures taken? I always thought it was a 'per hour' fee or a 'per event' fee. If you charge for 200, what is to prevent the photographer from taking 180 shots in the first hour of an event and only 20 in the second hour?

Not a professional photographer but I have worked with them. I don't know exactly with the number of pictures but less than 200 pictures sounds small if that's all the pictures that were taken. I've done a pool party with probably 600 photos because I'm burst shooting so you're getting 3 to 5 possibly 10 photos sometimes. Just like the judge said you want to take multiple pictures because you'll find a good one within that set. When someone asked me to take a picture with their phone they're getting 5 to 10 pictures because usually you want to make sure you look good and one won't cut it. But it also comes down to lighting which really makes a photo look good and professional. Obviously only $600 you're not going to get the greatest quality and he didn't get them edited so they are raw. I was a little bummed out on the video though because a gimbal or stabilizer is not that much money at all if you have a photography business

That video was horrible and the pics weren't great either. When you buy a package of 200 pictures it doesn't mean they have a max of 200 images to shoot. They shoot a lot and then give you the best 200.

I have been a professional videographer and photographer for 10 years and that raw quality I saw Was terrible even if they choose a economic package your client is still suppose to get professional work eve raw photos suppose to look professional that was not it

Thats a business people should try and stay away from. 200 pix and maybe like 20 or more will be crap all cause lady with the camera is amateur hour. I would have given at least $200-250 I think she always gives a low amount on judgements. I think a lot of people will charge over $100 crop and edit almost 200 pictures. I don't care how much they paid they should have a professional quality even in the video. That was the contract that was sold and agreed upon the defendant could have charged more.

The defendant meant he is in entertainment and he has given the video/photo job to someone else called Peter. And first he said the girl who took the photos is a professional photographer. At the end he says she would have done her best with a digital camera (professional?!?!??) And if they paid 600 to the defendant - what do you think the photo-girl got? Defendant 600 - Peter 500 (or 450 for video, video editing and raw footage photos) and he gave the girl perhaps 100 (or less because she has only been there 3 hours) because she just took some photos with a digital-cam. And the photos didn’t seem professional in any way especially like JM said no one only takes one photo - you always take 3 or 4… so I think it was perhaps the neighbours daughter or some student making some money. Perhaps only 45 or 60 dollars (15-20 an hour) And that’s why they got photos worth 15-20 dollars 😂 But why haven’t they hired a photographer directly not by hiring someone else who subbed it out??

As a hobbyist photographer I'm cringing over those photos. Very very amateur. That was just a basic hand someone a camera and let them spray and pray they got something good out of it. Plus, to give a regular consumer RAW files and leave it to them to edit and fine tune every frame? Seriously, the regular consumer most likely doesn't have Photoshop or the camera brands' RAW converter software to convert the RAW's nor do they have experience in how to process every frame. Defendant should be embarassed.
