Running Out on a Friendship

The plaintiff was good friends with the defendant for five years and loaned her money for bail after she was charged with accessory to robbery. The defendant agreed to pay her back once her court case was settled, but now the plaintiff can’t get her to repay! She’s suing for the amount she paid in bail. The defendant says the plaintiff has no foundation for her lawsuit, the defendant got the bail money from her own mother, not the plaintiff. Her mom got the money back, and the rest is history!

I lend one time and take collateral, like an engagement ring, something they love. It's amazing how quickly the loan gets returned. You have to have something they want back in your in your pocket. People are trying to grasp what’s going on, they lied about these payments to get on the show because the show will pay the verdict. Even if the show didn’t pick up the case, the plaintiff didn’t need to collect on the judgement in actual civil court. This has been a common way of getting money from the show producers.
