Great update. I’ve not tried to propagate jade before. I think I’ll give it a go. Those green roots are wild and the plant is really doing great. I recently got my first monstera Ginny and have been so afraid to take a cutting. I kinda like the glass jar pot. Thanks for the great information. Stay safe

Hello Faith! Yes, give those Jade leaves a try. There is something so rewarding about being able to produce MORE plants from a leaf. Patience are also needed, but that goes hand in hand with this hobby. Those green roots are crazy, hey??? Thanks for watching.

I’d love it if you’d do a video on pileas. I have two that I’ve easily propagated. However, I can’t get the leaves to be flat. They are all dome shaped. And even on my small plants, the bottom leaves wilt and fall off, making the plant leggy.

I have this video on my large peperomioides. I find the juvenile leaves curled or domed, but some what correct with age. Also leaf deformity can be a light or watering issue as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKeVg5djoL5soaM

I did ....my prostrata is trying like heck to give me new leaves but having a hard time in 3” terracotta; not sure if I’m keeping it too dry (we heat with wood so my plants are always thirsty) I might try moving it to an E window. My pep hope could use a trim, I may try your prop method this spring...just went back and rewatched that video. Monitoring my small monstera in water/soil ...the roots are not that big so I’m still adding water... I may try potting it in a clear orchid pot just so I can watch the roots. 🌿💚 love your channel!

You are correct with those smaller terracotta pots...they do dry out extremely fast and I have noticed the same with my larger plants this winter as well. The rule for winter plant care is to cut back on watering, but this year the air must be so dry because I am constantly watering them lol

What happened to that peperomia obtusifolia? It took my propagation at least 6 months to start putting out new growth and now it has 3 leaves with another on the way!

My previous obtusifolia plants got thrips....so they are gone. I did buy a new one since then!

Have you experienced peperomia hope gets new growth that’s thin and curled? Also, interesting observation on the green roots! I’ve noticed that happening on my Hoya. I wondered what is causing that too!

I have had that on my hope to and honestly I just forgot about it. I think sometimes new leaves have a bit of curl until they mature a bit, but I could be wrong. I'm not at home right now, but I do not recall seeing any leaves like that right now.

Peperomia like to be bottom watered, so it gets to the roots. They don't like to sit in wet soil for long so that's why bottom watering is good for these plants. Spraying will do nothing if the roots don't get water.
