Hiram was so underrated and Sanborn follows in the tradition of great players like Stanley Turrentine and Wilton Felder. When people mention Kenny G, I vomit in my own mouth and walk away..

I was at North Sea Jazz Festival early 90s. Kenny G was in the big hall. I walked away after a few minutes. Not vomiting, but it was unbearable, to me. Went to a smaller location there, much smaller, low ceiling, the Gil Evans Orchestra was playing, lead byi Miles Evans. Hiram Bullock must have been there, I don't remember him, I do remember Lew Soloff. What I most remember is the enjoyment of those people playing together. It was just wonderful.

Comparing Kenny G to David sanborn is about like comparing Michael Jordan to WNC!
