Sony Emory is one hell of a drummer. Crisp creative drumming so bloody tight, amazing sound quality on every part of the kit, even time to spin the sticks a few times. Jeff's fingers are also magic along with great vamping. It's not a memorable tune but the sheer energy, rhythm and groove is intoxicating.

If only I would have had a drummer like that [for bassist me]. Someone that is like an atomic metronome.

Absolutely! His drum solos are real solos -- like another voicing -- melodic -- so amazing.

I was house FOH engineer at the University of Maine Hauck Auditorium in the 1970s- multiple Jeff Lorber Fusion concerts over the years. Nicest bunch you'd ever want to meet. They were just as tight then as they are now. It was a gas!

I have been listening to Jeff Lorber since 1980 when he was with the Jeff Lorber Fusion when Kenny Gorelick was him in St. Petersburg, Florida at the Tierre Verde Island Resort Hotel. Fantastic show. He jamms the piano like no OTHER!!!! All the best from Jeff Out West.

Jeff Lorber is a monster! What a keyboard player! Yeah but for me this is ''Soft Space'' I discovered first before ''Water Sign'', ''Wizard Island'' and ''Galaxian'' who remains probably one of the most creative fusion period for music. June 2022,.....normally I am a strict listener of Hammond B-3 organ music,...but beginning in mid 2021, I had forgotten I also used to listen to Brian Auger & his Oblivion Express albums in the 1970s, and when I was looking for them again on You Tube, I saw all these great Jeff Lorber performances. A different kind of electric organ, that is equally pleasurable to listen to. Then there was all the George Duke organ work,....So from that time forward, I am catching up on Jeff Lorber. His incredible band is a pure delight to hear, as well.
