My blue-eyed soul sisters!!!I I wore that cassette out in the 80's. The problem with the great artist of the 80's were the follow ups. Expose was clearly one of the TOP Female acts of the 80's and if they would have had a consistent production crew they would have lasted a lot longer than they did. I still consider them one of the best girl groups ever.

They had two hit albums (EXPOSURE, 1987 and WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW, 1989), spawning 7 consecutive HOT100 Top 10 singles, and an eighth that went into the Top 20. However by their third album, titled EXPOSÉ, in 1992, Gioia (the lead singer on "Let Me Be The One") began having issues with her throat and vocal cords and had to leave the group. Clive Davis the president of Arista Records brought in a replacement BUT also re-tooled the group's sound to record more ballads and adult contemporary songs to compete with Wilson Phillips on the charts. That album yielded them four more HOT100 hits, but only one of them, "I'll Never Get Over You (Getting Over Me)" made it into the Top 10.

I was so in love with Gioia Bruno back in the days, I was one of their biggest fans, was in the fan club and everything lol, I saw them in concert and was in 3rd row but creeped up to first row during intermission, i have a scrapbook still of them in the shed, gioia, ann curless and jeanette jurado, they replaced jeanette with someone else or i think she replaced the original singer.
