A form of the gel but only military grade is what my younger brother said they had in their arsenal when they were protecting the parade route in downtown Washington when one of the new presidents was coming into the White House. They had a good 15 ft range on those babies. It was probably the certain gel type but only top government grade stuff. That's what I would have in my car like under the seat in case it's a really bad situation, and the smaller one that you had in your hand the black one, that would be the one I would want my wife or girlfriend to have in their purse ready to go and if that didn't work I have the nice bottle gel spray in the car right at a hands reach.

Well, how about wasp and hornet spray? Good to 27 foot range. And from what I have read, the bad guy will end up in the hospital....
