I made a red and white and a green and white. I used a regular 4 weight and added red sparkly scrubby and green scrubby yarn to match the regular yarn. They are beautiful. Turned out big but great for thick heavy doilies

I am, unfortunately, having difficulty with this. I have no problem with the color changes, it's just where they're supposed to be "landing." Not being able to see face-on, exactly where you're putting the dc's, is where my problem is coming in because I'm looking down at your work. I don't know if this makes sense, lol. I've frogged that 2nd row 5 times now and still can't get the colors to line up like yours, I've got 2 reds sitting on top of the white where it isn't supposed to be...lolol...my peppermint is a factory reject...LOLOLOL! I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.

On Row 3, the 2 dc of each set is stitched in the next color, that is what makes it swirl. Don't give up. You will get it.

@@SaraSach if you continue with same number of stitches it would start to look like a bowl you work down more rows almost to your ears then double crochet each stitch ,next row work FPDC / BPDC front post double crochet back post double crochet ; this starts same way some hats are started some people need 72 stitches some need 80 stitches depending on head size my aunt needs 80 stitches for her hay
