I have a blue one. I switched from a nucanoe. The material the nucanoe was made out of was really soft and scratched easily. This one is about the same weight. We just have a slow river here, not very wide and some lakes. I have been slowly modding it to fit my needs. I bought it to access public land during deer season, even though its a fishing kayak, i have no issues moving it. Its easy to paddle as long as you have the right paddle and the right technique. I am putting a trolling motor on it because some of the lake access im going to be using will be 1-3 miles to get to spots. Good to see a good stability vid. Thanks for the content. 🙏

I really appreciate it. Got some good looks from some people. Probably thought “this idiot over here is talking to a log and just flipped his kayak!” The way the back is setup is great to add a trolling motor too. It’s really durable and light. I do not baby mine and it looks really good and you can see from when I flipped it and showed the bottom it’s not all beat up or anything. What size motor do you think you will use?

@@RhinoJoeOutdoors im just gonna get a 30lb endura c2. Seems to be the one they say uses the less amount of power. Join it up with a mighty max 12v 50ah battery. Cant decide if im gonna fit that under the seat or just in a crate in the back. Gonna add an extra 30lb for the battery and I thin the motor weighs 15 or something? Its gonna be sweet.

jeremy bledsoe yeah that sounds like a plan. I might do something like that I can switch between my native slayer max and this kayak. A torqueedo is so dang expensive.

@@RhinoJoeOutdoors yea man they are. Cool lookin, but the endura does the same thing. I can always float a deer if it becomes too much weight or if the waters too rough. Its my boat! The funny part is now my 14yo and 7yo want their own. They were both able to handle it just fine by themselves on the lake.

Depends on what someone is looking for in a kayak. I was looking for a good stable and flat deck platform at a good price. It works for what I needed. I know stability isn’t everything but I’d say it’s the number 1 question people have about a fishing kayak! Do you have one of these kayaks? If so what do you fish for and what types of bodies of water?

Still not 100% sure. My fishing consists of reservoirs and small and medium-sized lakes here in NH.

I got mine because its good for larger folk (275lbs here). Took my daughter and nephew both out on it just fine and they used it as a jumping platform for the lake we were at.

I have a Pescador 120 that I am selling for the Outlaw 11.5. Used it many times and it's stable sitting down but I can't fish while standing and I am a guy with great balance. Main issue is we have a lot of big boats on my lake so standing is generally not a good idea with big waves. Other than that, you'd have to really be stupid to tip the pescador. It's hard to flip sitting down, even in the tall seating position.

I have never been in that kayak. Main things to look at are hull width and design. More wide usually means more stable, with the caveat that I find “pontoon” style hulls to be more stable

Lol in this video I was about 215 pounds and I am 510. The deck does flex a little but nothing that’s not normal for most Kayaks that I’ve been on. Thanks for watching and commenting. I don’t identify as fat butt sometimes I feel like I weigh more than I look.

I've been having to weigh (lol) all the pros and cons of different brands and models of kayaks based on...well...on the factors like length, seat height, maximum acceptable weight, width, included options from the factory like stowage or gear tracks etc. , and believe it or not the weight of the kayak itself as I don't want it to be too difficult to load into the bed of the truck even at some of these boat ramps that have steeper inclines to them. Analysis paralysis lol. I'm well aware of what is already on the market. It's not easy being this picky! Lol! Tight lines my friend. Subscribed.

Its really about the perfect all around length. 11-12 foot is about the magical spot for a fishing kayak. It comes in at 77lbs with the seat which is the exact same as the Bonfide RS117. The Bonafide SS127 is 94lbs with the seat.

@@ryanreidemeister6049 its all about technique as far as lifting it. I think Nattie Up North did a good video on it. Shes a petite gal and does it. You lift one end onto the roof then use that as a pivot to lift the rest up.
