Great video! Yellow perch are delicious. They are a favorite of mine when ice fishing. I fry them up right on the ice. Biggest one I ever caught was back in like 2014 in a tiny reservoir in CT. Thing wasn't a "golden nugget" like in the midwest, but I swear to you it was 15". Caught it on a rubber shad fishing the weedline from shore around 8am in early summer. Landed a few really good ones that morning!

Those are some nice perch. My only experience catching perch was by accident at a lake along the front range and most were only about 3- 6". I was going for rainbow trout but the little f***ers kept stealing my bait and annoying the crap out of me. Cooked and tasted one that was deep hooked,didn't care for it much but at least I had a few trout
@bassntroutfishing2 жыл бұрын

Are perch very tasty? I’ve always heard because they are white meat that they are great tasting. Reason I’m asking is because I don’t care for the taste of fish but I’m really trying to get myself to start eating fish, especially because I fish so much. And I heard white meat fish taste better than other fish such as trout.
@nithriverfishing6822 жыл бұрын
Yes they are a very tasty, mild tasting fish, prepare them anyway you like and it's good. Brook trout and rainbow trout is also mild tasting, I usually cook them in some tinfoil eith butter and vegetables on the barbecue or over a fire
