So today i get some perches into my high flyer loft, i make the perches out of some left over wood i have laying around just to save it getting thrown away and also save some money!
Hopefully soon we can breed our high flyers & also train them!

I really liked this video because of your cam being there and you were somewhere else. the birds were more like themselves. they were chasing each other,eating and trying to pair up. Great video. By the way, how are the ponds with all that rain? That one you dug that test site in ought to be a good size lake by now.

When will you put nest bowls. But with many birds around. Chances of eggs getting cracked or spoilt is higher..... but worth trying & experience & learning. Anyday individual chambers success better & no stress.

hay maney..those corn grain are too big for them..suggest you give them crushed corn in there feed..they digest it better..

Maney, cracked corn is not good for pigeons. Try popcorn grains because they are smaller.

? I've acquired some High Flyers. Do I train them the same way as I train my racing pigeons? Do I take them from the loft...perhaps shorter distances? They are well settled with adult babies. Ive not seen much info on how you train, so ive done all the basics. Trapping. Calls..etc..they are skilled tactical flyers. I have some tumbler/highflyer/racing bird crosses i let happen to get the body/wing size down. I noticed some of my white high flyrs have poor eyesight and stay pretty broody. Can i fly them short distances? Please help!😁

@@ManeyPigeons I have read some amazing articles about everything from the time of day to do this or that or different types of seeds and so some stuff to feed the birds and what to do if it's a headwind there a Taylor Linda whatever but I just see a very different structural bird than a racing bird and so I feel that I shouldn't let them out far from home and just take it really moderately with the distances and make sure they're very comfortable with the process of putting them into the crate and taking them gradual distances. And just see how they do without stressing them too much.

@@ManeyPigeons one thing I will share with you that I have found is straight with my high-flyers is a smaller type of seed mix that is called a dove mix here in Canada. My high-flyers all have much smaller beaks than my racing pigeons,also a smaller cere. So i give them.a "smaller" seed mix. My miniatire chickens like it too.
