Ayoye !

Nice Job Marty, I just got back from my first solo winter tarp camping trip. Filming it was a blast, with all the snow we now have near Ottawa. Nice to see the kids. I'm planning a summer canoe trip with my daughter should be a blast.

Good stuff my friend! Yeah camping with your kids is always a blast!!! Enjoy!

I noticed how thin you made the roof. Given how powder dry the snow is, if it collapsed, the snow would only tickle, not suffocate. Expertly done, sir
@martymorissette2 жыл бұрын
I had one collapse on me before.... I learnt from experience!!! It was still in the building phase!

Marty good on you in calling it for how cold it was. I built a quinzee the other week (videoed it as well) and have one of the reflective tarps , only I used it under my thermarest shiny side up. I figured it would reflect my body heat back into me. It was only -8 so not nearly as cold as what you were facing but by morning it was 0 inside so maybe something you want to try. Another great Vid keep it up!!
@martymorissette2 жыл бұрын
Nice! Yeah building quinzees are always fun! The reflective tarp under the pad is definitely the way to go! I was trying to keep us warm by the fire at first but that didn't work.... lol Cheers!

Good job, Marty. I started my boys off at about the same age, but it wasn't minus 30, so you made the right call - why risk them hating the experience and not wanting to go out with you again, right?
