Newman and Lisa are the resident peregrine falcons at Great Spirit Bluff. Another female, an interloper to the territory, has been around and has been trying to be accepted by Newman and thus oust Lisa from the territory. Today things came to a head in a territorial battle which Lisa clearly won. Newman, the male, watches but does not get involved . The other female is lucky to escape with her life.

Our youngest said he was never going to be like his older brother, then during the summer before high school you could see it start to develop, that difficulty getting up. 😄

Spoke to a rock climbing guide who was climbing the devil’s tower in wyoming. He got too close to a peregrine nest and started getting dive bombed by the parents. He said that he was more scared than he had ever been.
