I was right there with ya man, huge Poatan fan! Personally I thought it was a lil fast of a stoppage at first, but then re-watching it you can clearly see Jiri go limp a second time while on his knees and slumps over. Plus Jiri said it himself, he was out and it was a good stoppage. I really am getting annoyed with all these morons acting as if this was super uncalled for and that Alex doesn't deserve the belt, they're constantly bringing up how Jiri gets rocked in every one of his fights. Which is true, but Jiri hasn't gotten put-out twice in such a quick succession the way he was here, perfectly legit stoppage imo. So happy for Alex man! Poatan vs Hill i think will be an even better fight. I like Hill well enough, and though he's nowhere near Alex in terms of skill, it's not like he's completely unskilled either, plus he has more ko power than Jiri does imo. And when you add the fact he has much better striking defense than Jiri with a FAR better jaw, (i mean, i can't think of a single time where he has been rocked - let alone put out), i think this makes him an even more difficult opponent than Jiri was. I still got Alex, and will be rooting for him, but it's gonna a banger regardless. And no one can take away what he has managed to achieve in either MMA or kick-boxing, the guy's either the number one or at least one of the top 2 or 3 greatest combat-sports athletes of all time! CHAMA!
