Hey Simon, great and tasteful playing as always! so@ 4:46 you said "noiseless".. are those noiseless pickups (as posed to standard strat pups)? If so they surely sound like some of the best I've heard. Most purists won't touch noiseless. Is the "modfied" 9.5 radius- is that a 7.5 to 9.5 compound? I've always wanted to try that, as opposed top the more standard 10 to 14 or 10 to 12 radius which is not very vintage strat feeling. thanks! BTW - how does this compare to your Rahbek?

Hi 😊 no not noiseless pickups but just very well grounded and shielded. They are not hum canceling. I have never had any luck with real noiseless pickups. I have tried many times. I don’t know what Diogo does to the modify the necks in terms of radius but they feel more comfortable to play all over the neck. My sunburst Pereira guitar is the same way but feels more modern compared to this one. Cheers Simon

We wire all Those Handmade with high components to avoid all hum possible , I can say those are really close to noiseless and even if you use big muff or heavy distortion you won’t lose and caracter and dynamic Those specific one are flat answers instead Stunburst from Simon that are polered pickups slightly different About neck we did some tweaks to fingerboard to give vintage fell however we wanted to keep modern sound even having the vintage fell to the guitar Simon Stunburst are my favourite design fingerboard we use special smaller frets that makes guitar faster This white relic I have vintage jumbo that give different flavor more vintage but I don’t want to copy vintage guitar Even this has more old feel we keep our sound all guitars When play out guitar you understand you playing something that has his own característics 2 different approaches but same quality

How does this compare to your Xotic 'S' type?

Well the Xotic guitar is a very good guitar and I have used it a lot but somehow this sounds more “strat” to me. I prefer this Pereira guitar (and the sunburst Pereira) at the moment. So my Xotic is on vacation 😃 cheers Simon
