Perennialism is but yet another form of New Age, gnostic ecumenism. Sadly, from his correspondence with perennialists, Fr. Seraphim Rose apparently never ceased to be one. In such letters, he referred to Orthodox Christianity as merely one tradition, yet another revelation. It made me understand his, o so Usonian, obsession with the End Times, which he solely referred to using the Hindu term Kaliyuga in those letters. More than the lack of the echo of the Holy Fathers, his writings surprised me by his implicitly perennialistic accent. Many of his writings are basically versions of "Crisis of the Modern World" and "Kingdom of Quantity and the Signs of the Times". A bad tree produces bad fruits and the apostasy of the Brotherhood of St. Herman is proof of this. Knowingly or not, Fr. Seraphim contributed to what he called the religion of the future, specifically of those who seek Holy Orthodoxy as the exoteric expression of their esoteric Perenialism.

The relationship between the world religions is analogous to the longitudal and latitudal lines of the globe. They intersect at the top and at the bottom, but there is a qualitative difference between north and south, even if they appear superficially the same. This is why the north, and the North Star, has had such an important symbolic role through all of history, and why even to this day the ‘global south’ is spoken of derisively by normies, because it represents chaos. The syncretic one world religion now being brought forth is the spiritual embodiment of this chaos appearing unified. The bottom is an inverted reflection of the top, and in the middle there is what appears to be an irreconcilable contradiction between the longitudes. This is the philosophical view within which religious exclusivism resides in, believing that they have a complete view, and citing the south (chaos) as their evidence that they are right, but with their backs turned to the true unity of the north.

You are doing a disservice to Christianity by continually claiming to be the "exclusive", one and only Truth. You are the ones, in fact, limiting God by saying He has only "one" way - your Orthodox way. You try to say that the the saints of every other tradition are inspired by "demons", yet they have just as many miracles, if not more, than your saints and probably more wisdom. You will call it "delusion" but anyone can say that about you too. Christianity has not proven itself to be the harbinger of peace it should have been. Yet, Buddhism tamed the Mongols and the Hindus have never attacked anyone. Dogma is tainting your views to the extent that you can't see reality - just as a Muslim thinks everything in the Qur'an and Hadiths is from God - so are you blinded by your own dogmatic beliefs; namely, that "salvation" can be achieved only by the way your theologians allow. Before the philosophical concept of the Logos (which Christianity took from Philo the Jew, who got it from Egypt), there was the Indian concept of "Aum" or "Om" - the first sound or movement from the Source; the "Word" of God which is also God; the "first born of the Virgin". Christianity also borrowed other aspects from other religions. Before the Eucharist was Apollo's Apples. What is so hard to understand - when Christ said "None get to the Father except through me", this was as the Logos - an idea pre-existing Christianity. From Justin Martyr: “And when we say also that the Word (Logos), who is the first-birth of God, was produced without sexual union, and that He, Jesus Christ, our Teacher, was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended into heaven, we propound nothing different from what you believe regarding those whom you esteem sons of Jupiter. For you know how many sons your esteemed writers ascribed to Jupiter: Mercury, the interpreting word and teacher of all; Aesculapius, who, though he was a great physician, was struck by a thunderbolt, and so ascended to heaven; and Bacchus too, after he had been torn limb from limb; and Hercules, when he had committed himself to the flames to escape his toils; and the sons of Leda, and Dioscuri; and Perseus, son of Danae; and Bellerophon, who, though sprung from mortals, rose to heaven on the horse Pegasus. For what shall I say of Ariadne, and those who, like her, have been declared to be set among the stars? And what of the emperors who die among yourselves, whom you deem worthy of deification, and in whose behalf you produce some one who swears he has seen the burning Caesar rise to heaven from the funeral pyre? And what kind of deeds are recorded of each of these reputed sons of Jupiter, it is needless to tell to those who already know. This only shall be said, that they are written for the advantage and encouragement of youthful scholars; for all reckon it an honourable thing to imitate the gods.” (― Justin Martyr, The First Apology of Justin Martyr, Addressed to the Emperor Antoninus Pius) Leave Jesus as that, a god and a great and worthy life to imitate that will enable one to reach Theosis. If this truth works for you, good for you. Why try to deprive other religions of their "paths up the mountain"? Your path is great, but so are theirs.

@@Hope_Boat OK, so we have a saying from the book of Acts whose authorship is probably Luke, but some doubt that, written some decades after Christ - OR - we have the testimony from thousands of saints in traditions around the world who enter mystical experiences and tell us basically the same thing. This is the perennialism we are talking about. The core of mystical experiences are essentially the same. There are just different ways to get there. Jesus is one way. But there are other ways too.
