I think it’s a great idea for you to mention the name again at the last. We might not have been impressed at the first mention, so didn’t write it down, but near the end you mention a quality we’ve been looking for , but we don’t have the name! Thank you in advance , from an 88 year old gardener, who’s been gardening for 81 years, and loves your commentary!

I Absolutely love Russian Sage its a must have for me! My Russia Sage is in full bloom right now, i have a circle garden in my front yard and i have it planted in a thick ring. In the middle of the ring i plant Mexican Sun Flower which have bright orange blooms. I added a drift of it this year in my landscape around the front of the house. In front of the drift is another drift of Bishop of Oxford Dahlias, dark foliage with bright coral orange flowers i think they look great together. I repeat alot of blue, purple and orange in the landscape. My border is Red orange Marigolds and blue Victoria Salvia. Then the next layer is Lambs ear and the compact dark purple Aster. So i will have color till November! Anywayy i could talk flowers all day long lol Hope your having a great summer! Take care 💚

Here in zone 9b, I truly appreciate sages for their hardiness, color, and the gophers and deer so far leave them alone. They draw in hummingbirds all day long. I collected seed from them last year and now have my first baby sage plant, hot lips. Thank you for addressing heat loving plants.

What a great idea for how to attach the trellis! I always worried about how I would paint if I had a trellis close to the wall. Great perennial suggestions too. I'm looking for perennials that do well in full sun in an area that is very dry in summer but a little on the boggy side in the winter. I think a lot of us have this situation in the PNW and maybe other areas of the country too. Maybe a future video idea? Thanks!
