Perfect Banana & Rum Dessert: Bananas Foster | Safety Tips on Flambéing

Bananas Foster is a classic dessert invented in New Orleans back in the 50's. It involves flambeing banana, brown sugar and rum to make this wonderful ( but kinda dangerous ) and delicious dessert. In this video we are going to show you how to make bananas foster and demonstrate how to flame safely without burning your eyebrows off.

Recipe:
2 each Ripe bananas
1/4 cup or 60 grams brown sugar
2 Tablespoons or 28 grams unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon or 1.5 gram salt (not table salt, use sea salt or kosher)
Pinch of ground cinnamon
1/4 cup or 1.5 oz dark rum
Vanilla ice cream of your choice
