Today, I’m sharing how to make the perfect cream cheese frosting with some simple steps. I’m spilling the detailed tips to make the smooth, fluffy, and not-too-sweet cream cheese buttercream that goes so well with any of your favorite desserts such as carrot cake, red velvet cake, cupcakes, cookies… and so much more!

📝The ingredients:
• Unsalted butter 113 g | 4 oz (1 US stick)
• Powdered sugar 250 g | 8.8 oz (2 US cups) *Update: Reduced 10 g from the original amount!
• Salt 1/8 tsp
• Cream cheese 226 g | 8 oz (1 US block)
• Vanilla 1/2 - 1 tsp (Optional. I did not add it today!)
It is enough amount to frost a very simple 6” cake. Make 1.5-2 batches if you are piping on top.

To make a little bit stiffer buttercream, make this recipe :
• Unsalted butter 226 g | 8 oz (2 US sticks)
• Powdered sugar 250 g | 8.8 oz (2 US cups)
• Salt 1/8 tsp + a pinch
• Cream cheese 226 g | 8 oz (1 US block)
• Vanilla 1/2 - 1 tsp (Optional. I did not add it today!)
It is enough to frost a 6” cake with piped frosting on top.
