Perfect Dark Ice Hunter Build In Baldur's Gate 3 (BREAKS The Entire Game) | Ultimate Hunter Guide

The Dark Ice Hunter is my build that revolves around multi-classing and gearing a Hunter in such a way that insane sustained AOE damage is combined with some of the most powerful CC effects, but said CC effects are ingrained as part of the damage and these cc effects are guaranteed due to quick acuity stacking while a list of on-hit damage boosting aspects and modifiers apply consistently in addition to facilitate a type of burst and infinite cc-loop that you can abuse at all times (as you never need to rest with this build technically) and with all of that it's safe to say that this build breaks the game. In other words: this is the best Hunter build of all time, ha! I might be a bit biased as it's my own build, but hey, try it out and let me know. More importantly however, it's also the most fun way to play a Hunter. Even better is that the progression path that I lay out in this video will make sure you are OP as early as ACT 1 and that you will retain that OP status all the way through till the final boss. Dark Ice Hunter Build Overview, up to level 11 5 ranger, 4 rogue, 1 war domain cleric. At 11 switch back to 11 hunter and 1 war claric. One guide for each act act 1 1>5 ranger, bounty hunter. beast tamer. Find familiar is important in this part. 16 dex, 16 wis for spell casting +damage, 14 con. This was an excellent video. You act-by-act breakdown of playstyle recommendations is the number one reason I come back to this channel. My first character was an almost identical setup to your Gloom Stalker/Rogue video and I had a blast. I tinkered with that setup so thoroughly I thought I was basically done with archery in BG3 after that. This setup may end up being how I run Astarion on my newest playthrough.

I like that Snowburst Ring technology :D Problem with Diadem of Arcane Synergy is that when You pick Rogue It will start using your INT instead of WIS. Fix could be 5 ranger - 1 Rogue - 1 Cleric - 3 Rogue, so only at lvl 6 it will use INT. Unless Larian changed it.

Great video, I would just like to mention that for draconic elemental weapon, you can cast this on yourself by swapping to your bow and then using it OR you can put the weapon on the ground and cast it on the weapon that way. Thought I'd mention this in case anyone wanted to use this build solo.

You can eat raspberries too. They heal the same as goodberries but don't cost an action to use. Only problem is they are finite, though you can find several growing on bushes in act 1. Just gotta be careful not to use them all when you long rest.

I do love OP builds! I recently made Gale an Eldritch Fighter and Adjuration Wizard multiclass. Based on Ice damage so all his spells are ice including his trident that fires ice spikes. Or something like that. it absolutely slaps.Then I made Shadowheart a tempest cleric and lightning based sorcerer. So, between the pair of them, they absolutely wipe groups of enemies away almost instantly.

20:04 This is incorrect and makes the ice part of the build not work as intended. The Prone status ticks down at the start of a creature's turn. Ice surfaces apply only 1 turn of prone, so will removed at turn start and NOT skip the turn if frightened. You will need to apply atleast a 2 turn prone for this to fully skip a person's turn. You can tell in the video that it did not work because the person stood up. A 2+ turn prone creature with no movement will remain prone and skip turn.

Great build, I very much love the cc aspect! I played hunter as a meelee and whirlwind attack is just amazing (same as volley I guess). I leveled before 11 as a tiger heart barbarian with thief splash later on. One thing I barely see any guides mention is Black Hole (illithid power). After the crech, you can use it as a bonus action, and it makes AOE attacks trivially easy to land on anything. I basically just one shotted most fights on my hunter after I got it.

lethal combo with a great old one machine gun eldtritch blast warlock. they will knock enemies prone with repelling blasts and also fear them with every crit. so you get 2 sources of fear and a super reliable way to knock them prone.

That's pretty similar to what I built - but the crowd control is something different and very interesting... Still I want to mention what I found out on my run. If you have played the early access and you have fanes mask there's something very interesting you can do. If you use fanes mask to shapeshift while wearing the "shapeshifters boon ring" you will permanently recieve the +1d4 bonus to ALL your checks till your next long rest. Afterwards you can change the helmet AND EVEN THE RING and will still keep the buff until your next long rest. You can do this again every long rest!

The issue with all these builds is that, they pretty much all use the same gear. So if you are running companions, you don't have enough of the same gears to share around everyone. Like I remember looking at some builds where they are all running the same chest piece or same gloves. Even when I'm splitting between Halsin(Druid), Astarion(ranger/rogue) and my tav (currently run is a monk).

I think you over value war cleric sometimes. With a dex based build with 1 dip, you lose sanctuary but you could get warding flare with Light domain. And if you stack the dex modifier armor + warding flare you’ll almost never get hit and thus not need sanctuary anyway. Plus, if you dumped war cleric you could go gloomstalker and still get your bonus attack. I found with builds like this, I also wasn’t using create water that much in the late game anyway.

Yeah Tiger Heart has been a sleeper top-tier build. Not a solo build, mind you, but quite possibly the best melee crowd control until Act 3 Swords Bard / Vengeance Paladin comes online.
