Perfect Dark N64 - Carrington Institute: Defense - Perfect Agent (UltraHDMI)

Fifteenth level of Perfect Dark captured on a real N64 modded with UltraHDMI - the best quality you can possibly get from the real thing. One of my favorite levels of this game. Can be really hard and you'll die to a single K7 Avenger burst but I like the pace of it too much. Almost got destroyed by one close to the end before deactivating the bomb, but the boost saved me at least.
I'm playing with autoaim disabled and Perfect Agent, as usual.
System: UltraHDMI - NTSC, EverDrive-64 3.0
Capture card: AVerMedia GC573
Controller: Original N64 controller with a Grade A SteelBowl from SteelSticks64.

I have always wondered if it's possible to complete this without losing a single CI agent. I used to replay this all the time as a kid to try and save everybody, but I could never get the hang of the random spawns after each objective. And I swear, Carrington guards seem to just wander into enemy fire for fun. I think I gave up after realizing the firing range was pure luck whether or not the guy in the back does anything or gets shot, no matter how fast you run in there even with combat boosts.

Yeah those at the firing range is pure luck. I think I rescued all of them here though? I didn't check on the firing range ones.

The hostages in the shooting range always die when I play. Is there a way of saving them like you did? Or this happens randomly?

It's random, I had tons of luck here and managed to save all of them I believe. Most of the times it doesn't matter if you save all the other hostages though, as you can have two or three killed.

Spray and pray to god you can wear the shields down before they shoot their hostage. Grimshaw and Foster etc aren’t really that hard to save but the woman in the holodeck with the clones is always a fucking pain

IIRC you can't unless you use the Devastator and I was just playing the mission "the normal way" here.

Thanks. I usually destroy the files with the devastator first then run downstairs to the shooting range but I think destroying the files early triggers an annoying barrage of the blonde dudes.

I believe you have to do it manually with some of the options on top.
