Perfect Day at CocoCay - A First Look (Now Open)

Royal Caribbean's Bahamian Island destination Perfect Day at CocoCay officially opened today (May 4, 2019) and we have your First Look. With tons of water activities including 13 water slides (for an extra cost), and the largest fresh-water pool in the Caribbean, several included casual dining options, Splashaway Bay kids area (included) and other activities like Zipline and Helium Balloon (both extra cost), it's easy to see how this can be your Perfect Day.

I went there when it first opened! The cruise is beautiful and it doesn’t rock because it goes nice and slow. The island was so amazing and there are no words to describe it! I recommend getting a beach lounger and a water park pass. IMPORTANT: If you have a pass and are under 18, an adult has to get a pass to go with you.

I was blessed to be there on May 4, 2019 with my family for the opening. We were on the first ship to attend perfect day (Navigator of the Seas). They did an amazing job welcoming us by extending the park hours , offering amazing food , friendly staff and a beautiful fireworks show to end the day. I’m looking forward to going again.

We have been to CocoCay 8 times. Now that the natural beauty has been replaced with a themed waterpark, and that all the good extras cost LOTS of money, we won't be sailing there again. We will miss the private bar at Barefoot Beach, where a private land-cabana with cocktail service was only $35 day. We used to love Royal Caribbean. We've sailed 16 times with them. The commercialism is pushing us away from cruising.

From my visit a few days ago, it is amazing how quickly they got everything in order. Other than some plants that need to be in the ground, I didn't see anything out of place or not ready. Btw, I had an amazing time there, Perfect Day at CocoCay is incredible.

Hi S D, thanks for watching. With South Bech not opening until December, I would recommend Chill Island as it is the farthest away from the water parks and away from the general flow of people coming getting on and off the ship.

I was just there yesterday and South Beach opened a few weeks ago. We had a beach bed on South Beach....the clearest water is near chill island and the lagoon. South Beach is more private but has more opaque water and sea weed.

Hi shucky ducky, thanks for watching. I really enjoyed Perfect Day at CocoCay. Even without paying for the waterpark, there is a lot to do and eat for no extra money. Pricing for the waterpark varies by ship and sailing date. It is best to purchase online from home using Royal Caribbean's Cruise Planner to get the best rates. I've seen pricing from as low as $23 pp to over $75 pp.

Hi S D, the slide footage was provided by Royal Caribbean. In my experience onboard several of the newest Royal Caribbean ships with water slides, they will probably not allow the use of go pros by guests, but you can always ask as I do every time.

Hi Be positive, thanks for watching. The Thrill Waterpark which includes Daredevil's Tower, Splash Summit, Adventure Pool and Wave Pool require the purchase of a pass. Also, the zip line and balloon ride are an extra cost. The Oasis Lagoon pool, beach access, chairs, umbrellas are complimentary as is the casual dining, Splashaway Bay, Captain Jill's Galleon and tram service.

They took a great little island and turned it into a theme park. If i wanted a balloon ride I'd go to the airport. Just another way to extract more money from your wallet. We're actually going here in a few day, and we'll stay on the ship. If you want crowded venues, go to Disney. I think it a shame they were allowed to destroy the island this way.
