Went out yesterday to Pottsburg creek. Alot of large females there. I had no luck at any place in Atlantic Beach or Jax Beach. You must know the good spots!! Peace!

I do good in AB and Jax Beach....except when there's a lot of rain.

That's good, maybe I will try again down that way. If you are near Arlington, try the 2 creeks off Atlantic. You have a high bridge but definitely worth it

I found a Pretty decent sport in ceadar river area. Crabs are huge and really blue. One spot was not good at all. Too many rocks/clams at bottom. Lost 2 crabs traps that got suck. They do have huge crabs though and they were such a pretty blue color. 😏 I found this spot too!! I’ll be 🤫 and not give it away. Took me forever to find it though lol. I used google satellite to search areas I thought it could be. Took me forever to find. Only been 2 times so far. I eff around and found out about them bugs though. They tore my tail up. ! I won’t go without spray again that’s 4 sure. When I went they were smaller ones. But def a nice spot!! Great video. I’m trying to find decent spots on the westside.

I’m jealous you get to crab so early on! Also, I catch crabs with those leeches on them all of the time. As long as the crab is legal and not a paper shell I’m keeping it. And I would make a calling stick, you can even use a scrap piece of wood. Just cut out a big chunk at 5” and at the bottom another notch cut to 5 1/4”. Makes calling crabs quick and easy 👍🏻
@CrabbingWithTony7 ай бұрын
Facts! I really need to do that. Great suggestion. Yeah I can't wait until they are heavier later in the season. Come on warm water!

Hey Tony. Good to see you crabbing frequently now that Spring is here. Looks like you got a nice haul in spite of all the boats. What is the deal with those nasty leeches? I wonder why they get on the poor crabbies. I can't imagine that they can get any fluids through those tough shells. Are they in the water year 'round?

I'm not sure. It's been only at this location. Crazy.

The leeches on the crab shell is harmless to the crab. The leeches need a hard surface to attach their eggs on. Once hatched, they find a fish to act as a blood host. After engorging their self's on blood, they drop off the fish and attach to the crab shell, and around and around they go. Some people soak the crabs in salt water to get rid of them, but they are harmless to the crabs, I scrape them off when I clean my crabs.
