Heyyy lovelies, in this video I am showing you a super simple yet beautiful way to create Jesmonite Christmas Coasters without the need of a cutting machine. Using Stencils with Jesmonite in this video I am sharing with you the lessons I learned and the best way I found to use the stencils.

Those are the most beautiful and so festive I really love them ! The red coaster might look good and neat with its crisper snowflakes but I think the green is more interesting. It reminds me of the shabby chic style that was so popular a few years (decades?) ago and I'm still very fond of.

If you have anything the same height as the coasters, like old ones or c grades not for sale you can use them to secure the stencil around the area you're working. There's also spray adhesive some of the dollar stores have started carrying.

Mounting spray is what I use when stencilling. It’s temporary and can be washed off or left on for the next time. Just store between wax paper or oven paper.

Oooh lush 😍 you can get adhesive spray thats low tack and would hold the stencil perfectly without lifting 😉 xxx

I love the coasters Claire. I wonder would temporary spray adhesive help with the stencil? Crafters companion do a great one and the residue can be wiped off with a damp cloth when the paint dries.

Love this project! What is your best source for the jesmonite powder? You can buy repositionable spray adhesive for stencils. I really like the spray because I’m a majority of my stencils I’ve accumulated over the years and until the recent years you couldn’t buy sticky back stencils. With this spray, I’m able to get my stencils to stay in place without trying to move. My fingers are on hold them so I don’t get paint underneath. It’s a great product.

Love these! I have a question... I have the Merry Christmas Coaster mold from Molds and Shapes and I plan I using acrylic paint over the resin coaster. That way you're able to see and read what's on the coasters. My question is after painting them is there a way to seal the paint in the coaster? Would really love any feedback please 🙏 Thank you! 😊

Heyyyyy Tammy .. you can paint the mould then pour the resin... or you can pour the resin then paint the merry Christmas and seal with a top coat of resin 😍😍😍

Heyyyyy Cregan ... no sadly it wouldn't. Jesmonite will not pick up from the mould like Epoxy does. 😢😢😢 it wouldn't pick up the paint x
