What trimmers do you all recommend for accurate fading? My Walhs are ok but something missing to kinda perfect my fade. Also does not help I have peppered hair on the sides.
@dev.13593 жыл бұрын
I have peppered hair as well and it's such a pain in the ass trying to fade because the guidelines are near impossible to make and see with all the silver hairs. I've given up trying to fade and resigned to just giving myself a taper cut every time

Hi Alex. I'm Andrew. I still don't know how to fade I use Phillips trimmers longer on top. And short on sides

What do you mean by lever open and lever closed, does open mean you lift the lever up, or does open mean you keep it down
@mightyjigglypuff15983 жыл бұрын
If you lift the lever up, you 'close' it. (It makes you cut off a little more hair than when it is open). So in this case, open means that you keep it down.

I dont have the 1.5 guard would it mess up everything if I skipped?
@basimshah974 жыл бұрын
You can use the 1 guard open and use the corners. Not all machines have the 1,5 guard. It depends on the lenght of the blade
@janbadkamer33834 жыл бұрын
Barber here, if you gonna cut your own hair, dont know anything about cutting hair besides watching tutorials, without a 1.5 guard you will leave lines in that fade, trust me

@janbadkamer33834 жыл бұрын
@@kamronallred3292 look up the clipper brand you have, 1.5 guard on google or something you should be able to find one for cheap, same goes for the 0.5 guard if you wanna fade from skin. Do you know that there are clippers that dont have lever, so its always closed? Like my Braun HC5050. But the thing is, it worked really good, already after 1st time cutting my hair. I just followed another tutorial, where you start with the longest guard you want, like for example N4, and then gradually go down changing it to N3,N2,N1. Its all about right hand movements to get it look smooth :) This tutorial probably shows more professional and precise way, but the way i did it also ended up more than ok. Also my haircut is a bit different, no that short as yours.

@matthewjarrod25233 жыл бұрын
Look people, his technique is good for him but very few can pull this off. Easy way using two lengths for beginner. Cut top using guard 12-16mm. Next put 9mm guard on for the sides. Have the guard perfectly level starting at the bottom and go straight up, never change the angle of the clippers, keep them parallel to the side, when you get to where the skull curves DO NOT change the angle. You see, as you go up your skull curves, by keeping the clippers the same throughout this upward cut, the top will automatically be faded due to skull curve. Do this all the way around your head. The fade will look good and perfect because you are using your skull's natural curve. The hardest part last, and this will take practice, is lining up around ears and back line. NOTE: Above guard lengths can be adjusted to how ever long you want. Tool used, Phillips Norelco 7000 multi grooming
