Before switching to this keyboard I owned several mechanical keyboards, form factors and switch types. The MX Mini is simply the most effortless and comfortable typing experience I've had with any keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are beautiful toys, I used them on the weekends for the cool factor, nostalgia, and style, but for productivity 5 days a week I use the MX Mini.

I really do like typing on this keyboard, The feel while typing is so satisfying due to the indentations in the keys and mat finish. Shallow key travel is something I prefer. This keyboard has (for me) the similar feel as my MacBook keyboard.

"Wait 6 months and they'll drop the price", you reckon? I have the standard sized MX Keys and that's still selling for the same price I bought it over a year ago ;)

Interesting because here in the UK at launch the MX keys were £119 and now they go for £76 lol

In the US the mx keys launched at 99 and the mini also launched for 99 so they raised the original to 119

The most disappointment for me is that this keyboard cannot be used wired via that usb c port.

Ive got this keyboard. I think is fantastic. Im biased as well because i do not like chunky keyboards. The backlight is amazing with the sensor. I personally do not use it. The keys are very good for everything you need to do. I do 10% office work and 99% gaming with this keyboard 😂 it has a premium feel ever more when you touch it than in the pictures. It works with the Bolt wireless adaptor. I 100% recommend this keyboard, i was not disappointed. I got it for £74 (lucky me) 😁

Hi! I like your professionalism and provided good information about this beautiful, functional and great look and feel keyboard. I have like 6 different keyboards but y this one is the best. I have seen various KZbinrs talking about this keyboard, no one good enough compared to you. You address in a clear way all the necessary important points. Well done! I have the MX full keyboard for my MAC desk computer, the dark gray Mini one and now I will buy the silver one as well. Alberto from Australia

I enjoy your videos, especially the multiple angles you show of the devices. I have and enjoy the MX Keys. The Mini looks nice, but I just don't get why it's the same price as the full size version. The larger one has a much more solid build, and gives you more customizable keys, too. I love having a number pad which I use in conjunction with my Stream Deck Mini. I use the number pad as hotkeys for OBS scene switching and source toggle. OBS seems the number pad numbers and the main number row keys as different inputs which helps to avoid hotkey conflicts.

Can someone explain to me why this keyboard seems like a direct replacement of the Logitech K810, yet it needs such a big battery compared with the K810 - which also ran for months without needing a recharge? The K810 (which I used over a decade ago) had very similar features, multiple host Bluetooth, variable brightness backlit keys, etc., except it was more sleek and didn't have any protruding features so it could be slipped into a thin folio case with no problem. It was also far lighter. It was more like the K380 in terms of its sleekness, except the latter doesn't have backlight...)

I'm wondering the same thing since that tilt is a dealbreaker for me. My guess for the reason would honestly be... just designers. Logitech has had quite a few keyboards in that style now - flat but with cylindrical "feet" that tilt the board. You can even see in teardowns that it doesn't use the full volume of it... it's just a stylistic choice that would make it fit it better into the fresh modern market of minimalistic, small desktop keyboards, instead of the original market of actually compact, portable keyboards.

Fantastic! ⌨️ I clicked your link and they are out of stock! Oh man. Your other links are for UK Amazon... shame I am not in the UK. LOL unless I am on my VPN. I can be in Manchester instantly. I like that this keyboard is backlit. The only thing that prevented me from purchasing the Mac keyboard is lack of backlight. Thanks for this review. 👍🏽

@Techkhamun2 жыл бұрын
It’s been good, it matches what Logitech claim, I don’t know about the backlight off batter life which they say is 5 months but i haven’t had it that long, I mean it’s only been out for a month or so and I pre ordered it and got it on release day
I just ordered the black version for me & the white (silver) version for my wife

Not sure I'd say its the perfect keyboard for everyone... They sound terrible compared to my custom keyboard, also I'd imagine that I wouldn't like the feel as well since it is a membrane keyboard and not an optical or mechanical. I don't see a need to compromise when lightweight mechanical keyboards are available, and yea they are more expensive, but the customizability and comfort not to mention the little details like travel distance, sensitivity, actuation point, feel and sound profile can be finely tuned with switch selection and lubing/filming and filling with dense foam/fabrics.
@Techkhamun2 жыл бұрын
I said in the video this wont replace a mechanical keyboard but what mechanical keyboard is this thin plus if you are looking at the magic keyboard you arent a mechanical keyboard person right? Like they would most likely never buy a mechanical keyboard and when I gave this keyboard to my non tech friends they loved this over my mechanical keyboards even ones at the same price like my keychron keyboards. yYou have to review this from the customer who would be looking at this, not just someone who will just say " get a mechanical keyboard they are better". It's not constructive because they wouldn't like that or even want to get into the different switches and cases and damping materials and plates and keycap types, I mean its like saying you should just build your own PC and dont buy a pre build. There is a HUGE market for these keyboards, you only have to look at the sales of the MX Keys! You are correct, you will hate this keyboard but you just mentioned a bunch of terms that 90% people dont even know, like ask your colleagues or just anyone that isnt into tech what an actuation point of a keyboard is and they will look confused lol Also I never said this was the keyboard for everyone ;)
@GOOBENsticks2 жыл бұрын
@@Techkhamun Good reply! I'm someone who has messed around with mechanical keyboards a bit (more than average person, less than enthusiasts thirsting over every drop), and I've learned the experience difference is negligible for me compared to membrane keyboards. Sure, maybe the best keyboard experience for me lies in a mechanical keyboard, but it's not in me to try out even more keycap, switch, board, foam, etc. variation till I find the best one. There are definitely people out there who don't think mechanical keyboards are the endgame, or that any keyboard otherwise is a 'compromise'.
