Won’t PVA just dissolve when under water all the time?

It is not water proof. 3M marine adhesive would work. It comes in smaller, easier to handle tubes.

@@gemmadivine3015 #M marine adhesive is polyurethane based. Polyurethane-based wood glue is used in dozens of different applications thanks to its watertight qualities and strong bond. Polyurethane has many great advantages as an adhesive including ability to bond both porous and non-porous materials. Polyurethane glues are moisture cured, requiring no air to cure, and superior bonding. Because it requires no air, polyurethane glues can be used for applications where the wood will be submerged.

Both the grout and the dish are water resistant so water never actually reaches the PVA. So no, so long as you have grouted thoroughly there is no risk of the pva disolving.

Hey Ashley, no to be honest as I don’t sell my work I’ve never bothered with sealing grout. Birdbaths get a bit of algae on them in summer so I scrub them clean in winter. But other than that they don’t get any special treatment.

Hey there, I breed finches and I got some mealworms to start farming them. I separated the mealworms into different containers and they turned into pupa and then beetles. Now, I have about 50 beetles. I did not start to feed any of the mealworms yet as I am trying to increase them first. I need about 500 mealworms a day. So, I was wondering how many beetles I need to keep up a production high enough so that I can feed 500-600 mealworms a day for my birds and still have enough left for the next day and the day after. I plan on feeding every day. Please let me know how many beetles I need. Thank you in advance!
