Usually linebackers are going to walk up into an empty gap not an occupied gap. Which means I had a lineman assigned to him anyway but now the lineman doesn’t have to release and block him in the second level. He’s now brought himself down into the lineman’s reach. It makes it a lot easier for the lineman to block him now when he comes up into the gap. I actually look forward to linebackers blitzing middle gaps in the off tackle play because then they basically take them selves out of the play.

Youth tackle football teams don't use two safeties

true. Pretty much Cover 3 all the time or 2 deep corners with 9 in the box.

The software is Coach Me Football Edition. It’s not the most robust software, but it works really well on an iPad. apps.apple.com/us/app/coachme-football-edition-lite/id455354813

So your blocking rules are basically man on/man away? How do you account for lbs walking up blitzing inside?

We use G.O.D. inside Gap, On, block Down as a rule progression.
