Great restoration! I own an earlier version of that miter box (pat’d 1910) and it is a substantially accurate device for it’s age. When i got mine, it only needed cleaning and oiling with a new wooden bed installed and back to work it went.

Great video, attention to detail, camera angles, lighting and much more, but for me it was the sounds. Working on that metal top table bring out all those rich true sounds. I can hear the difference between the solid metal parts and the lighter metal, like aluminum. I can hear the light vibration of when you lay down your screw driver and the thud of a heaver tool. That welding table is just another tool in your arsenal for making great videos. Thank you.

Hey just recently found your channel maybe 2weeks, I'm loving the restorations. I have restored a few wooden tables myself. Also love the fact that you hung out with one of my favorite KZbinrs, Matt from off the ranch/ demolition ranch/ vet ranch. He has some awesome stuff and video, I'm kind of jelly now. Nice job! BUT-you missed something, unless you did it and didn’t show it. I’m talking about the adjustment to square the saw blade to the table. To get it a perfect 90 degrees. I have watched several videos on the 358 miter box, and no one seems to know how to do this. But I figured it out while restoring mine. Send a reply to this comment if you want me to tell you.

@thecynic8075 жыл бұрын
He takes pictures. And his father used to try and hide the tools from him cause he took everything apart when he was 5. Then by the time he was 7 his dad gave up and got himself his own set of tools. Something like that. I took apart a bike before I could even ride when I was 4. I got in big trouble but the next day I put back together.
