Perfect score In Switzerland / Schweiz / Suisse (in 25 minutes, 10 seconds)

Here I am in the beautiful country of Switzerland, aiming to get every last one of those 25,000 points, and in a respectable time. A lot of dead ends in the streetview imagery of arrows on the road threatened to slow me down, but would that be enough to finish me off this time?

Oh man this hit right in the feels. I'm very privileged, but I've been going to Switzerland every year since I was born, for a family tradition going back 70+ years (my grandparents started going as teenagers) I'm 22 now, and because of the state of life, this will be the first year of my life I won't spend the summer there. Heartbroken and missing it, but this video certainly filled a little mountain shaped hole in my soul :) ❤️❤️

Kleinlützel is a funny name since it could be translated as “Smallsmall“ since klein is German for small and lützel is old German for small

For me the funny thing is that it's 20 mins from where I live :-D "la Lucelle" is a big stream, flowing from a lake with the same name, along the France/Switzerland border. When approaching Kleinlützel, its official name is thus "Lützel", and it flows through the village. I have friends living there ;-)

Swiss pro tip : When going out of a village/city, always turn arround when you see the end of 50kmh limitation sign and do as if you wanted to go back in. That way you will know for sure the name of the village you were in. Because when you're leaving, the name written in your direction is the name of the next village you will cross, and not the name of the one you were in. Also you should double check more the yellow signs you see on the side of the roads. These are postal buses stop signs, they will always give you the name of your actual location. Also when you entered Kleinlützel, you can see "SO" under the name of the village. That's the abreviation of the canton (region) you're in, this can help too :)

Yeah, Streetview is annoying here because they can't show any schools, and when you factor in all kindergardens, primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, universities etc there aren't any long sections of road that they could publish.

help9110111 Yes, most countries have some laws to regulate Streetview, here in Switzerland it‘s mainly a list of builings they can‘t show (schools, courts, prisons...) and the camera mustn‘t be positioned more than 2 meters above ground (so it can‘t peek over fences and stuff). This differs from country to country, for example Streetview got introduced in Austria only like 2 months ago after a change in privacy laws.

on signs at the beginning of new villages are two letters (for example SO) if the village is on the border between two cantons these stand for a canton(in this case solothurn) could be really helpful sometimes☺️

Hey man, a small tip for doing this in Switzerland. All the window blinds are generally coloured in the same way as the shield of the canton you're in. This means that if your in Vaud for example the window covers will be green and white.

I was in Interlaken a month ago and walked right over that bridge, so I knew imm - and just COULD NOT BELIEVE the first thing you said „Oh, this might be Interlaken“! Great job! Edit: Trick for Switzerland: Leaving a village or town you often find divided signs. The upper smaller part is the next village, sometimes it’s empty. the lower one tells the next larger city. And SO says Solothurn Edit Nr.2: Started a nice hike 2 months ago in Grabs, got out of the Postauto right at Nr. 5 😅!

the first one is the 2. bridge to unterseen in interlaken (west), beatenberg is the village on the left lake side on the hill, spiez is on the middle of the right lake side and steffisburg is on the other end of the lake, beyond thun, those red singposts are bike ways

"Kleinlützel SO" is the sign at the beginning of the town Kleinlützel in Kanton Solothurn. So the SO tells you the Kanton. If you find any car they forgot to blur your know the Kanton right away (assuming it's a local's car).
